Please enlighten me as to what you think this verse wants Christians to do. Please be certain that your interpretation is right. And while you google for answers, please tell us why the above event happened. But then since you believe the Bible is fiction, then none of it happened. Then what are you upset about? There are many, many books on fiction...Harry Porter, Superman, Batman, etc....and yet people don't seem to be upset about these fictional stories....the fact that people are so upset with the Bible claiming this Book (of books) is fictional speaks volume that this book indeed is non-fictional. You don't tell people the Superman as depicted in the comic books is false, neither Batman you want to fight with people and tell them Batman is false (or true..because we all know they are all false, fictional) and you don't persecute people who read Superman comics, Harry Porter, Batman comics....but why only the Bible? We have heard of real stories in less civilized countries that have beheaded people who simply found to possess a copy of the Bible! Why....answer simple: The Bible is a history book of God and His people!

Well said. It is a guilt by association tactic, to insist that the Bible is no different from known works of fiction, yet fail to recognise the lack of consistency in how they treat both.

What science cannot explain now does not mean it cannot explain in another 50, 100, 150 years. Science cannot prove the earth is round more than 500 years ago, but the invention of telescope has helped galileo to crash the myth of genesis.

Atheists are not that stupid to allude what cannot be explained by science at the moment to an invisibleman. Only dumb christians with allude thunder as wrath of God when science is not matured to explain it. When science is matured to offer the answer, atheists know thunder is not the wrath of God.

What science cannot explain now doesn't mean it can explain later. You have a lot of faith that science can explain everything. That's a religion called scientism, betcha didn't know of this term.
