Mention the word "activist" and there will be some in society who look at these chaps in negative light, people who want to change society, hidden agenda, troublemakers etc. Not evryone understands the meaning. Sad.

whether the old man squandered his CPF anot is his choice. but the fact that he cant take out all his cpf after retirement age is wrong. wat happen if i were to die like 1 month after i retire? I cant even enjoy wat i have earned for the past 30-40 years. Surely the gov is correct in that helping us save a sum of money for retirement. So since now if I have retired, why cant i get the money. Why cant I have the freedom to do wat I like with my money?

The stupid old that you are talking about was history, is a fairly tale by now. Just because of one fairly tale stupid old man our CPF have to be locked up for another 10 years.
We have a recent real life story of someone (stupid woman) who lost billions of our CPF money how is it no action taken?

at least clementi residents hav hardworking and sincere oppo like RP to vote for.....we tampines residents are not so lucky....we suay suay kena fuckup NSP as oppo.. :( ..an oppo with a leader who say he is not interested in taking care of the estate...KNNPCB!

I don't know why the Oppos wouldn't go around handing out a small card that says:
If you elect us, we will:
1) Fight for you to get ALL your CPF at 55
2) Fight for laws to hire S'poreans FIRST.
3) Fight for financial and housing benefits for NSmen.
4) Fight to stop immediate suspension of all FTs into the country
5) Reduce NS to 6 months.

Your dying will be perfect proof the money is there and not squandered. Your nominees will get 100% of the amount. Or you can renounce your citizenship. You will also get 100%.
What happens if you get 100% at 55 and then squander it all away in Geylang or MBS or RWS? Should you be a burden to the state or its taxpayers? Or will you promise to migrate to Timbaktu?
