All human beings have flaws, it could be because he was too ambitious early on, too angry for his supposed injustice, too silly to see the bigger picture, etc. The pappies are ruthless where it comes to dealing with people who oppose them or disagree with them or with those they perceive as trying to put them down. The only way that can happen is if SDP intentionally goes to Hougang, Aljunied or other wards contested by WP. If not, how can this method work?

WP has announced where it would contest and the only place they are stepping into is Tampines, but that issue is with NSP not SDP. It is a very big hint for opposition parties as to where they can work on. For SDP, it means Sembawang and Holland-BT will be free and untouched.

Of course, the third party may not only be in the form of WP. NSP or RP may want to claim Sembawang or HBT grounds.

Chee by nature is very myopic and at the same time very resolute on certain things such a human rights, Myanmar etc. He is also bound to be bring in or associate with foreign detractors and champagne socialists and NGOs. Though these things tend to appeal to the certain niches, it bound to put off the majority of heartlanders. I am sure the PAP is wanting for the fallout to impact all opposition and make the PAP look real sweet.

Here is a case in point - Ravi damaged the VW's 2011 campaign to some extent. Though it did harm Viv to some extent, the greater damage was on VW.

And we all can guarantee with 100% certainty that the MSM will focus mainly on Chee and the SDP for all the wrong reasons and drown out the rest. The impression that they are looking to create is the Chee is the only alternative to the PAP.

Yes, one thing I learned from my stay in Canada, is that the Canadians understand the dangers of giving too much power to a party. They have provincial & federal elections & most Canadians are savy enough to make sure to vote for different parties in these 2 elections and thereby have a balance of 2 opposing parties. They also have term limits for PMs. A PM can only hold office for only 2 terms. A LKY would never be allowed to be created in the Canadian system.
