Singaporeans have no casino. For example, if you litter, fine $100, it means no littering. If you enter casino, fine $100 (they call it levy but it's still the same $100), it means no casino for Singaporeans. Good also. Go there for what? Gamble? Yawn... Basically anyway, my point is Singapore has casinos but Singaporeans have no casino. Want a casino that welcome Singaporeans and don't fine (or levy) you, go abroad.
They have not got it right even now judging from the news of " MBS hit by blackouts, casino is the latest to be affected" on pg B4 of today's ST.
The good name and reputation of the little red dot built up over the years by the sweat and toils of Singaporeans is being ruined .
Poor service by Tiger, unreliable PRC listing (S shares), cheating by educational institutions, Singapore Flyer stoppage,billions of losses by GIC/Temasek, not enough beds in public hospitals, months of wait for public dentists,unaffordable public housing, escape by a limping terrorist,preference to foreigners ... the list goes on.,
Yet the highest paid ministers in the world are still sitting in their ivory tower-where is the accountability?

Language defines the identity of the nation. Without knowing who we are and where we are going, we can't solve other problems easily and completely.
