how big a contribution the Chinese people made to mankind over the last 300 to 1000 years.. ie. if the Chinese don't invent paper, printing.., the western world wouldn't have progressed.

We can still survive working in an office without paper but can we now do any work in an office without computers, telephone and air-conditioning? And when you need to fly for a business trip what do you do? Mind you, the whites are responsible for 95% of the progress made in our present lifestyle and modern living ..

Everyone knows how fucked up the Chinese are nowadays. The Chinese themselves know that they are losers. That's why they have such a huge inferiority complex and need to show of their wealth in order to gain some measure of self esteem.

However, I must give credit where it's due. The Chinese have the innate skill of lying through their teeth with a straight face. "This is our original design..." yeah right.

I have seen china made cars that looked like Hyndai santa fe and Honda CRV's. But funny enough, these copy cars not selling well in major towns like Beijing and Shanghai. they seems to prefer european makes.

Right. More people have died from wars in the 20th century alone than in the previous 2,000 years combined. And the majority of these wars were started or instigated by people of European descent, from the Crusades to colonial conquests to the European wars to the 2 world wars to Iraq and Afghanistan.

i think china gone downhill since Manchuria conquer china and mess things up, communists just made things worse.

if the Manchus didn't conquer China. whichever Chinese dynasty would likely focus all it's efforts and resources to defend north of the great wall from the Manchus and Mongols. there would be no large-scale southwest expansion which incorporated huge territories into the Chinese empire. that's one achievement of the Qing to the Chinese people.

The really smart and useful chinese already migrated out of China over the past 150 years before the communists took over. The distance they migrated away from China is indicative of their IQ level and creativity.

You guys all need to relearn modern history.

The "West" progressed exponentially because of their open societies - exchange of ideas, technology, and even open conflict. This started with Martin Luther's opposing the Orthodox Church (at that time, Rome), questioning authority thereby tearing down establishment and their fixed ways. This led to the various revolutions leading to the Age of Reasoning, Englightnement, and eventually the Industrial Revolution, even right up to the Hippie Movement a few decades ago. There were many trumoils along the way too - ask Galileo and Copernicus.

The "East" that is China, the Middle Kingdom reached the zenith of their civilization and at that point considered everyone else as backward and barbaric which made our ancestors ethnocentric and snooty (the emperor needed his visitors to kowtow to him). This made them inward looking, not wanting to learn or absorb any new ideas or development. Unfortunately, this included the period of rapid scientific development and discovery in the western lands and China excluded herself from these. The outcome was the Opium Wars leading the the Unequal Treaties which the Chinks still suffer from humiliation till today.

Friends, we live today, in a post WW2 period. Whilst still imperfect, the level of misery is more humane, where possible, most humans have a chance to eudcation, basic health care, and dignified living is attainable. Time to end the hatred and help the less fortunate.

Don't know why they keep harping on "5000-year civilisation". Is the China of today really synonymous with that of Qing dynasty? Where exactly is the continuity? It's like Rome residents of today claiming that the Roman civilisation is still surviving. Chinks are such Ah Qs. They'll employ all sorts of warped logic in order to save face.
