suggest you do the silk road - kashmir - afghanistan.

Anyone who visit kashmir and afghanistan by himself really has balls, don't forget the Pakistan Tribal Areas, stop by Peshawar, enjoy some kawa tea and Chapli Kabab with Kabuli Polao rice.

They are living really close to the wilderness and nature.
This should be the way of life for a peaceful retirement.
Too much artificial landscape in Sillypore has ruined our life style.

U think this is blue. U should go to the middle east. Totally no cloud really can see it's blue. In the middle of the desert at night U will really know the meaning of what a sky full of stars is really like

Thanks for this info. I would so much love a night sky full of stars. Where else other than middle east, you think we can get a night sky full of stars? Any places in China?

I not as rich as U think lah. I get to travel quite a bit for work. The Japan and India trip for example was a weekend trip to some sights while I was sent there for work. On average I probably spend about 2-3 months overseas every year. And because I travel for work I get to clock a lot of frequent flyer miles so traveling on my own I usually just swap miles for flights saving me quite a bit on vacations.

Normally I will try to take at least 2-3 weeks 1 shot. I find it a lot cheaper to go on 1 single big trip to multiple nearby locations vs multiple trips to different location mainly because I save on the huge airfare. Also it's more convenient. The China + Mongolia + North Korea trip, I only took 10 days leave(North Korea and Mongolia are both 4 day 3 night tours) adding the weekends I actually had 16 days vacation.

For the South America Trip I really plan gao gao and waited for the best time last year when 2 public holidays were in August. Took 15 days leave and off + the 2 public holidays and weekends I ended up spending 25 days there. My longest vacation yet

As for Silk Road it's not on my radar yet, Next year I plan either Scandinavia + Russia, Turkey + Greece + Iran or South Africa. I also want to do another trip to South America, that place was too awesome. After that maybe silk road

The 3 places I've seen the most number of stars was in the middle east(Eygpt and Jordan) when we were in the middle of the freaking desert and Easter Island in Chile

China forget it. The pollution will block out everything. Reminds me of the mid autumn festival this year. I was in Beijing, a friend was asking if the moon in China looks nicer. I look up, freaking pollution blocking out the moon(if you want to know what it's like think of SG during the haze period).

Or maybe I'll post some old photos of other trips I took in the last 2-3 years. Anyone interested in the Middle East or Europe?

Yes interested, preferably with commentary. Thank you in advance.
