Budget hotels in Singapore

To put the record straight.... not every enforcement officer cheong LSB or abuse their status..

Me and my pals never cheong LSB or take advantage of anyone......

We were offered sexual favours by ladies but never took up the offers. I was offered $30,000 to release an offender from the Ang-Sa-Li (Chomp chomp area). We laughed it off..... He was detained under CLTP.

When we realised that ADU and CNB officers were gambling in the offices, we sent word to the officers to stop. A large group from E Div failed to heed our calls. They were arrested by the modern Singh ASP Admin officer. 7 from the group were sacked (CNB)... the others were warned (ADU)

The ASP himself was later was charged for raping a WPC in E Div. He was acquitted because it could have been consensual sex....... Nonetheless, action was taken to remove him.... He later migrated to the US where he joined the Police again....

Once, we arrested a CPIB officer in a common gaming house (Gambling Den). MY silly friend released him..... big mistake.....

Great! Welcome! Another of our past comrades here! Yes! Without fear or favor. Never abuse power. Way to go! ;)

But as LKY said himself, if char kway teow hawker didn't give him extra hum without extra charge, then he'd worry.

I googled lai ming and the others aren't the all located in geylang where all the pros hang out at? These hotels are located right in the heart of the sex district. won't be smart bringing family there.

I was chuckling away, when I read the reply, bring family to these quiant hotel ha ha ha. There are another two more I can recollect, Cameron Hotel, in my National Slavery days, the guys, go there for night training. Then, there is Malacca Hotel, in my time, that is for some hanky panky Both these hotels are still around. Bring the wives & kids there... ha ha ha ha

I've stayed in a Hotel 81 because of some renovation being done to my home. What I remember was some strange sounds cumming from the next room, "Oh-Oh-ah-ah -Oh-Oh AHHH" :D
I'm an adult & understand about the birds & bees, but it would be difficult for parents to explain to their kids what all those noises were :)

Very common in these hotels. Rooms very small. Noise can be heard with the doors they have, unlike the 5 stars where rooms are bigger and doors more sound proof.

I chose Geylang because the hotels are really cheap & I noticed that it's popular with with some tourists on a tight budget. They should try to implement something like a smoker or non-smoking category e.g. family or non-family category on certain floors :) This might attract more families to these hotels.

Next time try Joo Chiat coz they aren't allowed short-time. More conducive for family stay. Stay away from Geylang. No point being disturbed if police check the rooms.

He..He..He..He.. Back then for fast game fun, I would checked in Cameron Hotel at Upp Changi because of its close proximity with my Tampines home.. No time to go Geylang or Balestier.. Cameron Hotel is the nearest..:D Just love the old school charm of the hotel..

Non-smoking room is joke started by US hotels and motels. Sometimes they'd tell me at check-in, no more smoking rooms available. I always said no problem. In a non-smoking room, door closed, I still could smoke like a chimney. Only thing is no ashtray provided, but no problem, just flush the butts down the toilet.

what kind of family want to stay in budget hotel ? no swimming pool , no wifi , no activity ...if given a choice chalet is better still can bbq .

no lah ..beer can hole is small sometime can miss cue ...i agree with GD ...cup is better for ashtray .

I'm a marksman, wearing crossed rifles on my uniform. There're very few in police who consistently scored over 80 points in SW38 run-and-shoot and M16 stationary shoot, even fewer sent for M16 shooting range, except for marksmen and those earmarked for PTF, now SOC.

That's the reason why I sterilise all utensils in hotel room before using them. I have this phobia that some MFs will pee into the cups or kettle! Nope, I don't perform this act myself.
