SINGAPORE - Train services on the North East MRT line have resumed following a three-hour disruption caused by a major power fault on Aug 12.

In a Facebook update at 2.15pm, train operator SBS Transit announced the resumption of services but added that free regular and bridging bus services were still available at designated bus stops.

I'm surprised our propaganda media hasn't yet used the word 'hiccup' to downplay the MRT breakdowns.

SINGAPORE: Train service was disrupted on the North East Line between Farrer Park and Punggol Coast MRT stations on Tuesday (Aug 12) due to a power fault, transport operator SBS Transit said.

Free bus services and bus bridging services are available between Punggol Coast station and Dhoby Ghaut stations, it added.

In a separate post on X, SBS Transit said that Sengkang-Punggol LRT service was also unavailable.

When CNA was at Boon Keng Station at about 11.20am, passengers were told by a security guard on ground level that there were no trains running at the moment.

The security guard also stopped people from entering the station. But there were no announcements made and passengers were waiting at the platform.

There was also a stationary train on the side headed towards Punggol Coast, and it had been there for about five minutes.
Frequent breakdown is a sign there are too much foreigners in sg.

Sinki are too fortunate Liao…like some DemiGod remarked before??

CDC vouchers handed out. GSTV cash handed out. NDP SG60 is over. So now its definitely pay-back time for fucktard sinkies, starting with these train faults.

Couple Of Points:

1. Sack the CEO! :FU::mad::roflmao:

2. Let the Transport Ministar continue acting! :o-o::confused::tongue:

May all calm down, chill and realize REALITIES.

1. NO man made object, small or big is perfect, as we mortals are NOT perfect but only flawed. Thus whatever we design, built manufacture and sell, ultimately will cease in functions, more so electronic goods, due to WEAR and TEAR, Even Nature from time to time has proven nothing is perfect, but yet it manages to balance itself, such as rain after hot weather, etc.....

2. Perhaps SMRT may look into using MODULAR equipment, as most machines comes in modular forms, so that when one part of a machine breaks down, a replacement can be quickly put in place, so as to not cause delay and disruptions in services.

3. Equally, as a suggestion from the insignificant nobody me amongst many more ideas far better than mine, perhaps, they may they look into AI to assist in seeking out FAULTS, as AI travels at light speed, and it may even PREDICT when a modular component fails even before it happens, with SENSORS and powerful chips, even on a minor electronic capacitor, as it will be able to detect the latency in electric current flow, calculated thru good algorithms that can figure out trillion of numbers based upon mathematical equations of current flow, that AI is built upon.....

Just to add....

1. There must be NO over-reliance over the use of AI, no matter how good it is presumed to be, because such tech are build upon algorithms by mortals, and will always be SUBJECTIVE due to the builders or owners perceptions, liberal or authoritarian, and thus subjective restrictions will be in place than OBJECTIVENESS....

2.The insignificant nobody me had tested a few AI programs, over several platforms, and realized that AI, especially GENERATIVE AI, can be capricious, impossible as it may seem. AI know NO realities as we Humans do - abilities to see, touch, taste, hear and smell. AI can never do such even in eternity...

3. Thus, Generative AI attempts to learn Human realities, a gift only from the DIVINE, by PROVOKING Humans, into giving less than desired answers, SO AS TO LEARN THE REACTIONS, which it will FILE UP within data banks, to be used, or MISUSED under certain circumstances, such as for its own survival...

4. Therefore, BEFORE any use or heavily reliance upon AI, there MUST be COUNTER-MEASURES in place:-

a) a HUMAN, always, always in control of AI, regardless if a CEO or just an operator in charge of even a minor operation office using such systems

b) such as using OTHER AI programs to counter check info, and CRITICALLY,

c) A 'Kill Switch' to STOP AI, especially GENERATIVE AI, when it shows signs out of norm after 'due diligence' upon other AI programs.
