Boy allegedly seen throwing chair from 12th floor of Tiong Bahru block
It narrowly missed a member of the public at the rubbish disposal area.

A chair was caught on video falling from the 12th floor of a block of flats in Tiong Bahru.
According to a member of the public who shot the clip and submitted it to Shin Min Daily News, a boy allegedly threw the chair off the block.
The chair landed near where the man was standing on the ground floor.High-rise littering
This high-rise littering incident at Block 2C Boon Tiong Road occurred on Jan. 17 at about 3pm.Moments before the chair fell, the man at the ground floor said he narrowly missed getting struck by other debris.
The eyewitness said he was parking his car at the time when the litter fell near him at the garbage disposal area.
When he took out his phone to film the incident after he saw movement on the 12th floor, a chair was hurled off the corridor.He had to dodge the chair, he claimed.
Other debris, such as glass shards and shoes, were thrown downstairs subsequently, he further claimed.
The man proceeded to call the police.
Not the first time encountering youths
The man, who tipped Shin Min off, claimed he had lost his bicycle in 2025 and it was allegedly taken by one of the youths involved in this high-rise littering incident.
This was after he accosted one of the youths, who was seen pushing his bicycle away then.The Singapore Police Force confirmed with Shin Min that a report was lodged and the authorities are monitoring the situation.
Boy's family not from block
Residents interviewed said the boy, who allegedly threw the chair off the block, did not reside at the block.He and other children were frequently seen playing at the block though, residents claimed.
The children are believed to be residing at another block of flats in the vicinity.The residents did not intervene as they felt the children were still young, they told Shin Min.
One resident said: “Sometimes it can be really noisy, but it’s not good to argue with the kids, since their parents don’t seem to discipline them much.”
Some residents went to the boy's home to look for the parents, but they did not see them, Shin Min reported.
Only the boy's elderly grandfather was at home, and the residents did not pursue the matter.Top photos via Shin Min Daily News
