Banned driver loses appeal against 1-month jail term

Two months after being banned from the road for drink-driving, Suzanne Ng was back behind the wheel.

The 28-year-old was caught in her mother's BMW at a police roadblock.

She tried to bluff her way out by giving officers her mother's name and identity card number. But when they checked the police database and came up with the details of a much older woman, the game was up.

Ng will now be jailed for a month after her appeal against her sentence was dismissed on Tuesday.
