SINGAPORE - The driver of a Mercedes-Benz that barrelled down the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) against the flow of traffic nearly three years ago, leaving one dead and four injured, was sentenced to a year's jail on Monday (Nov 25).
Businessman Lim Chai Heng, 56, who was expressionless on hearing the sentence, was also banned from driving for 12 years.
He left a trail of carnage and destruction AND killed an innocent man (victim was an actor called Jackie Liong Kuo Hwa). His actual jail time couldn't have been more than a year.
Banned from driving for 12 years? So did he really not drive someone's car at all? It's not like he's tagged and the police will know when and if he's driving.
So he's been sleeping well at night?
