Depends on your race too.

I know a Malaysian Chinese guy (a medical doctor) who is planning to migrate elsewhere for his children's sake, so they won't have to suffer racism as he did.

The Malaysian Chinese kena way worse racism in Malaysia, than the Singaporean Malays kena racism in Singapore, due to Malaysia's racist constitution (in fact even in Singapore's constitution, the Malays already have a higher status than the other races; LKY nearly fell out angrily with LHL on insisting this point be built into Singapore's constitution).

And in point of fact, by and large (ie. middle to lower SES), Singaporean Malays are better off than Malaysian Malays.

That is a problem dr m created. He used and abused affirmative action snd currently, everybody holding back their breadth for his latest weslth sharing economic policy.
