You are wrong on this point, the samsui women, the labourers of the 50's built the ports, the infrastructures, the flats & so forth.

The education system was tinkered to produce generations to come forth to make money, but not by menial means. Please add a government that encourages an influx of cheap menial labours, under excuse of SINgaporeans are not willing to take up these jobs. This in turn cement the impression that SINgaporeans don't take up these jobs.
