Valentine's disaster
I need advice! My partner and I have been in a stable relationship for the the past 1.5 years. Recently we celebrated our second valentine's together and I had planned a full day of food, activities, and gifts. We went through the day and enjoyed the occasion. In scrolling social media of my friends, I realized that most of my male friends either had social media dedications / gifts from their gf, or both. I felt quite sour as my gf had prepared none. After bottling up my disappointment the entire day, I inadvertently blurted out that I didn't even have a card.
A miscommunication then arose when I noticed that she was on chatgpt crafting a valentine's message; which she explained that she was using to refine her draft, but in that instance I assumed she was gpt-ing a valentine's card on the spot.
I then broke down and she took issue saying that (1) she does not have room for my insecurities about our relationship, and that (2) she did not know that she was supposed to gift / prepare anything for valentine's. I have been a very consistent bf and will also go the extra mile for her. However, sometimes just some words of gratitude, acknowledgement of my actions, and tiny gestures can go a long way.
Couples of reddit, could you please advice what I should do?
