The world doesn't have to worry about the rise of China because it won't happen. In the 80s, everyone I know was taking Japanese lessons. Their efforts were wasted. The flavor of the month is now China but it's nothing but a passing phase.

The US will still be in charge for many years to come. They may not have the military might of the past. However, their cultural domination of the world is not about to end anytime soon simply because the USA is still a magnet for the world's best and brightest.

The Japs have no military prowess to back them up. That's the difference.

The West will try all means and ways to pull China down economically. The bubble will burst, it's a question of when and let's see how China move on from there.

I have skin problem scar of rashses bleeding every now and then, after seeing all the specialist in canada and USA, they can only prescribe oinment it doesn't cure at all for more than 10 years everyday seeing the bloody bleeding leg big patches too..

when on a tour in Bejing, the guide refer me to Bejing Medical Research Center, the skin specialist is an old man, guess his age is around 60plus, he just take a look and prescribe some chinese pill for 3 months.

I thought i was taken for a ride, as it cost me around 300 cad, anyway i took the daily dosage as indicated within 3 months my leg was heal nicely it is been more than 8 years already.

Some chinese medication does help, they get to the root of the problem.

Agreed. Whilst growing up in Sg, my Dad's employment covered us with medicals, always see western doctor. And in Canada, "free" medical services. These did diddly for my back pain caused by bad posture while pulling up my luggage one day and became a regular occurrence.

However, my back pain was instantly relieved by Chinese acupuncture (in Canada, by a Chinese monk, Can$25.00 only). He went on to explain that it wasn't a cure - just a relieve. I've since been more open to various forms of medical treatments.

Cheers!

The Chinese have never had the stomach for a real fight. It's army has historically been used against its own kind and I doubt that will change anytime soon.

Yes!, that is why the Barbarians were able to conquer Cathay & rule it for centuries, then pass the baton to the 'yang guei' who came & dominate & bully & later, another Asian Babarians came along, the Japanese.

The Chinese were too busy, selling themselves out to whomever, that to be united to fight!, they are still fighting amongst themselves & still are manipulated by the 'yang guei' and their Babarian Asian...is that gonna change anytime, now the Chinese Century is coming?

NO!

You thought you were taken for a ride and you still took the pills for three months? How did you know they were not the old man's dried dung pellets?

Japan built its own aircraft carrier in 1922 and by end of the WWII, it had built 13 aircraft carriers. Still it was defeated by the US.

90 years later, the best that China could come up with is to buy a second hand decommissioned Soviet carrier. The day when China has the type of military prowess that would pose a credible threat to the US is at least 100 years away.

So not surprised that PAP is bringing in Chinkinese doctors. Anything third world and cheap for Singaporean peasants is good enough.

Hell! pAP rather loses billions and billions of dollars than to invest in Singaporeans by increasing the intake at NUS. I have a lot of fens study medicine overseas and don't ever want to cum back.
