Advice on anxiety depressions stress related .

I suspect I may have mild anxiety and depression.
Anyone can share methods or ways to relieve symptoms and signs or cause.

I assume you are right that you have "mild" anxiety and depression.

STEP 1: Simple Checks
- Do you feel better after a long walk, running or swimming?
- Take 3 days of leave and just sleep, masturbate and relax. Sleep a lot. Do you feel better?
- Do you know the what makes you unhappy or anxious? Are you able to walk away from it or change the environment?

If you are really "mild" and your answers are NO to all of the above, move on to STEP 2:

STEP 2:
Go and see your GP first. You wouldn't want a hospital record or long wait at IMH if you are just having "mild" anxiety or depression. GP might give you Atarax to help you sleep better or Xanax to relax. If you are truly "mild", these pills are sufficient.

If you don't feel better after these trial prescriptions, then I think you are not MILD. At least see a counsellor/psychologists/psychiatrists (Step 3). You might not solve a underlying problem or unhappiness, but at least you are assured these are "fake feelings" after speaking to these professionals. Dragging your feels make you lose your spirits or even suicidal,

STEP 3:
Talk to a professional eg. counsellor/psychologists/psychiatrists. As a small reward for yourself, check out the photos of the professional before you visit them. Find someone (not necessary just pretty) but you feel you can have chemistry and easily to have heart-to-heart talk.

Mental cases r hard to solve. Too many variables n wat works for one might not work for the other. The best is the Soylent Green option....no problems after tat.

I would advise against sleeping pills/ benzodiazepines because they are addictive. They work wonders for a week or so but then start to become less effective by which time a psychological dependency may have developed.

The best way to induce sleep is mindful meditation. In fact I view it to be more effective than sleeping pills.

My recommendation is an app called "Headspace" and I have found it to be well worth the subscription fee. Far cheaper than seeing the doctor for drug prescriptions and the app works better. There are different modules for different purposes and if they work for me they should work for anyone.

I used to be a vocal sceptic of meditation. I viewed people who meditated as loser hari krishna sorts of characters. However I was won over when I realised that I was operating in this world with a closed mind and preconceived ideas and started to explore the concepts behind mindfulness and living in the moment.

The other highly recommended app is Calm.

Yes but have to be fair, Soylent Green is legitimate n gives a sense of dignity. Till date. Self killing or suicide is illegal. Such rules n laws are there to a discredit the victims... furthermore u put all the patients in 1 place n avoid them causing problems to others. U don't want them to jump off a building n land on yr car.

I am now of the opinion that doctors do not provide a cure for depression. What they do is provide drugs that mask the symptoms. When the drug is stopped the symptoms often return with a vengeance. The long term use of mind altering chemicals cannot be good for the body.

If you go to a GP and claim that you are depressed the doc will invariably prescribe an SSRI like Prosaic or Citalopram that will kill your libido in double quick time. Simply put you can say goodbye to your erections and even if you do succeed in getting an erection you can forget about reaching orgasm. It will not happen. Many patients end up even more miserable because of this.

If your GP refers you to a Psychiatrist it opens up a far wider arsenal of chemicals that are supposed to fix your brain chemistry. Some are administered solely to counter the side effects of another. It's a crazy way of treating an illness that doctors still don't understand.

I believe depression is caused by a mindset and the cure is to change it for the better. Mindfulness training does just that. It breaks the negative thought cycle that causes sufferers to spiral downwards.

Mental case is one of the best forms of medical exploitation. Can evergreen forever. Better to Soylent Green than enrich these medical parasites

How about faverin?

That's just another SSRI. All SSRIs kill libido in up to 75% of patients. If you have a sex life be prepared to give it up.

If you do want to start treatment with a pill go for Bupropion. It actually enhances sex and is used to counter the effects of SSRIs.

Can just take Bupropion? Is it better than Cialis?

Many thanks.

Bupropion does not treat erectile dysfunction caused by clogged plumbing of the arteries. What it does is boost dopamine levels which play an important part of the sexual arousal response.

On the other hand Serotonin has the opposite effect. It inhibits sexual function both mentally as well as physically.
