One thing I 1000% will not do is speed recklessly. Only on deserted highways I will cruise at high speed and will not zigzag just straight line 160 cruising when got cars, I will get back to normal.

Sidetrack a little, your red plate vcross is a top in the list target for car thiefs. Only park at place which you think it's safe.

I've never driven in Thailand before. Always just tuk-tuk, motorbike taxi or taxi, and later MRT. There were few incidences of note with tuk-tuk or taxi, but there're two unforgettable incidences with motorbike taxi. There was once from Yaowarat to Sutthisan. After work peak hours, the jam I saw, no chance with tuk-tuk or taxi to make it back in time. Those days, not yet got MRT. So I took a motorbike taxi. The jam was still too heavy for the motorbike to weave around.
I told him go faster, I was in a hurry and promised him extra 20Bht. (Those days, extra 20Bht. extra almost doubled up fare.) He said khrap, I hopped on and he and zoomed! All the way up around pavements to overtake traffic. You know those Chinatown-style shophouses have vertical hanging signages on shopfront pavements and I had to grab a hold on him and follow him ducking his head when he ducked. That was some experience even police and army SOC can't offer.
The next was in more recent years in Hatyai. Again in a hurry, I hailed a motorbike taxi instead of tuk-tuk. I was wearing my smart cap bought in an SF hatwear shop. I didn't ask him for extra speed since there wasn't any traffic jam. However, the wind got too strong and blew off my cap. Shit! I want that back. That's not available in Thailand, Malaysia or Singapore. The taxi said no problem, let me alight in the middle divider and U-turned back to get it.
Fortunately, the cap hadn't been crushed over by traffic and returned to me in a good condition. Of course, I'll have to tip him for that. I told him, forget about the 30Bht. agreed fare, here's a red 100Bht. and keep the change, go buy yourself a good meal and beer.
