Arabesque was an all-girl trio at the height of the European disco era in 1977 in Frankfurt, Germany.
After the first album, the band lineup was changed by keeping only the original member Michaela Rose and replacing the two other girls with new members Jasmin Vetter and Sandra Lauer. After they split up in 1984, Jasmin and Michaela continued on as the duo "Rouge", while Sandra Lauer started her own career as a solo artist, collaborating with Michael Cretu as Sandra and later as part of Enigma.
Arabesque became extremely popular in Japan, and also had a great deal of success in the USSR. In 1980, the single "Take Me Don't Break Me" became a hit, which only scraped the German Top 40. Their next single, "Marigot Bay", would become their only Top Ten hit a few weeks later. Their last singles, "Ecstasy" and "Time to Say Goodbye", became hits only after their split, in various European countries, as they sounded very close to the Italo-disco sound, a very popular music genre on the European dance scene at that time. Those songs spread and gained success through LP compilations of dance/pop music, and bootleg tapes, so, the band could never take advantage of this success, as neither of those songs could properly appear on any music charts as "singles" anyway. (That was a common problem for many '80s European dance artists.) These last Arabesque singles also introduced the "Italo-disco" sound to Japan, under the term "eurobeat", previously used in the UK for the Stock Aitken Waterman productions. That soon lead to Japan's Super Eurobeat music style.

Joy is a 1980s Euro disco band from Austria, best known for the hits "Touch By Touch" and "Valerie".
The band JOY was formed in Bad Aussee, an Austrian town of 5.000 citizens. Andy Schweitzer (26.02.60), Freddy Jaklitsch (22.01.60) and Manfred Temmel (25.02.59) were school friends – and already as teenagers played in different amateur bands together; but after graduation they have chosen different careers. Andy became a policeman, Freddy started teaching German language and history at school, and Manfred was a popular DJ in Orion disco-club, in German city Traunreut.
Three friends met again in 1984, and decided to focus their joint efforts on a professional musical career. Quickly enough three young talents got a record deal – with an Austrian label OK Musica. The record company owners appointed Michael Scheickl (23.03.57; represented Austria as a leading force of due Mess duo at Eurovision song contest in 1982, where their track Sonntag reached #10) to guide three young talents through all the curves and dangers of show-business.
JOY first single, Lost In Hong Kong [6] (composed by Michael Scheickl – using a pseudonym M.Mell), was released in February 1985. It didn’t become a big hit, but the new band was mentioned in press. The next single Touch By Touch, released in September 1985 and composed by Schweitzer and Jaklitsch, immediately reached European Top 20 Dance Charts - and was Nr.1 in Austrian national chart. In Austria, Portugal and Spain more than 50.000 copies of Touch by touch have been sold - and the single reached golden status in these 3 countries.

Crazy for You" was written by John Bettis and Jon Lind. The ballad was released as the first single from the soundtrack of the 1985 film Vision Quest, a coming of age drama about a high school wrestler played by Matthew Modine.
The song became Madonna's second number-one single on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 as well as reaching the top position in the charts of Australia and Canada. It also peaked at number two in Ireland, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, where it was released twice, once in 1985 and again in 1991.

"Heaven" is a power ballad by Canadian rock singer Bryan Adams originally recorded in 1983, co-written by Adams and Jim Vallance. It first appeared on the A Night in Heaven soundtrack album in the same year and was later included on Adams' album Reckless in 1984. It was released as the third single from Reckless and reached number 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in June 1985, over a year and a half after the song first appeared on record. The single was certified Gold in Canada in 1985.
In 2002, DJ Sammy and Yanou released a dance cover of Heaven with vocals by Do. It was the second single off the album Heaven and reached number one on the UK Singles Chart and number eight on the US Billboard Hot 100. It was subsequently featured in the Dance Dance Revolution series of video games. It re-entered the chart on the week of November 17, 2007.

"Forever" is a Kenny Loggins song from his 1985 album, Vox Humana. It was released as the second single from the album, after "Vox Humana", and became another Top 40 hit for Loggins. The song was originally written for a short film called Access All Areas produced by Jenny Sullivan (ex-wife of Jim Messina, Loggins' former bandmate). Some of its success on the charts can be attributed to its use in the soap opera, The Young and the Restless.
It continues to be a favorite among Loggins' fans, and he often performs this song as a finale for most of his concerts. A live version was also recorded on the video for Outside: From the Redwoods but was not included in the album release. Most recently, in 2013, he performed "Forever" on the MDA Show of Strength.
