All-boys school near Moulmein Rd? You from St Michael's School?

Essex road to be precise...and at the junction of Moulmein Rd., was a Jewish Cemetary...that's the only Boy's School around that part...ACS is just too far away...

Do u remember what happened during your very first day at school (pri 1)? Did your parents escorted you there? Did u cry?

Clean shirt, clean pants ( brand new), new socks, new shoes ( you step on it, I punch you), new bag , new chalk board, everything new, can still smell the Luna Brand colour pencils, the brand new jotter books, excecise books & text books....

No parents, all my school life no parents, no need to follow me, no trouble with anybody nor the school authorities...

I think it was 20 cts or 50cts for school, quite a princely sum in my time, most get 5cts...bigger than the bullock wheel...ha ha ha

Not to mention, brylcream hair, some students, have streaks of white cream on hair...later years upper primary, Tancho hair cream..and Secondary school days, no hair cream..maybe a bit of Vidal Sassoon hair cream..

Yeah, those were the days, Brylcreem days. My dad used Tancho. When my mom started to want me to comb my hair, she bought Brylcreem for me. She said Tancho is for adult, too strong for kid. My hair first tasted Brylcreem when she combed it until I look like a nerd. :( Then I asked to have my own pocket comb and combed it myself to look like a kid hooligan. She's disapproving of course but lucky, my dad said nevermind. By Pr. 4 I graduated to Vitalis. In Sec. Sch. Klute was the in thing. No so greasy as Brylcreem and not so hardening as Vitalis. Too bad it's later displaced from the market by mousse and gel. Of them all, I liked Klute the best.

Hello people, this is about first day at school when all kids have headful of hair, not first day at old folks' home when most have not much hair left.

I crew cut at no more than 1cm all the way from kindergarten to army ORD. Come out to work then let hair grow. First hair mousse used was Loreal. Later changed to Gatsby until now.

Holy comb! You mean you spend your entire childhood and teenage without feeling what's real hair and how to comb your hair?

Well at least you've started growing some real hair eventually in adulthood. Loreal and Gatsby are both not bad.

Actually before kindergarten I was allowed to grow hair but no need to comb, just trimmed to neat length.

First day at Pri. 1 quite fun and memorable. Got my first puppy love girlfriend. Form teacher lined us up two-by-two according to height for assembly, and the classroom seating was two desks by two desks too. I was very lucky got a pretty girl my same height too.

TracyTan?????

No lah. Another neighbourhood girl. Her parents knew my parents too. Quite cute. I'd buy drinks for her and say nevermind and she'd buy drinks for me and say nevermind too. In schoolbus, sat together too since we were also neighbours. Any other boys who try to tackle or bully her would be dead meat. First time I tasted announcing to peers and underlings, this is my girl, back off or face off.
