1st day of school - Share your experiences

Do u remember what happened during your very first day at school (pri 1)? Did your parents escorted you there? Did u cry? I can still recall that I brought a yellow toy car to school on the first day. One mother farker snatched it from me and started playing with it. When I demanded it back, that bastard just ignored me. I then gave that farker one puch on his cheek and snatched back my toy. He started weeping uncontrollably and ran to complain to his mama! My mom felt so embarassed and apologised profusely to his mother after that! Later, me and that asshole became good buddies til this very day! That's what they call "不打不相识"!

I lost my lunch box during the first day of school and spent recess in the tuckshop looking very unhappy. A Malay auntie noticed and gave me a couple of cents to buy some food.

my first day of school I was designated the class comedian and I remember this Indian muslim girl who had huge ego issues and would then start crying for no reason when I was near her, making the teachers think I abused her. She remained my mortal enemy throughout my pri sch life and I never saw her again.

Oh and on my second day in school, I remember pushing this Indian boy down the slope because he wouldnt stop following me....funny how all my problems started with Indians.

I got 50cts for my pocket money, initially it's peaceful but after just 2wks later, the boys bcame rowdy n quarrelsome! Nothing serious...hahaha! Boys will be boys, afterall I was from a all-boys primary(near Moulmein road)...really enjoyed my boys n the hood days!!!

my time ( late 80s ) school canteen sold small bowl of porridge - 30 cents (cheapest), bowl of noddles - 70 cents, curry rice meal etc - $1. too long already, really cannot remember clearly.

My first day in school I remember mom make me a cup of hot milo and a piece of plain jacob's biscuit for breakfast in school. Unfortunately, the boys were all running about and one of them knocked over the cup of milo onto my new uniform. I have to bear with the dirty appearance throughout the morning. Fortunately 1st day is all about play and no lesson. Mom was standing outside the classroom watching me (thru the louvre window) the whole morning and than fetched me home for fear I can't cross the main road myself.
