<!-- end left side bar --> <!-- story content : start --> POLICE arrested 14 Chinese nationals working as singers at a pub in Bukit Timah Road after they allegedly attacked a man yesterday morning. The alleged victim, who was not named by the police, claimed to have suffered a cut to his head and bruises to his back before receiving outpatient treatment at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
At about 3am yesterday, the 31-year-old had gone into the management offices of Melody Valley pub at Balmoral Plaza to discuss business matters with two of the pub's female bosses, Chinese daily Shin Min reported. Two of the man's companions later arrived at the second-storey pub.
At around that time, one of the women emerged from the office, claiming the man had hit her. It is understood that when the 14 Chinese nationals, all in their 20s, heard her claim, they lunged onto the man. There were about 10 other customers in the pub at the time and they all fled the scene.
