Good old days, SETRON just behind my flat and Telefunken nearby at Tanglin Halt. Mom bought a 25" Telefunken for almost $2500 and those days it's big money. How technology had progressed and cost dropped. Sweet old days.

Used to stay at Tanglin Halt (10 Storey). Almost every citizens of Tanglin halt either worked in Telefunken, Great Malaysia Textile (Dai Ma) or Van Houten Chocolate. Great Malaysia Textile is the biggest employer around there during that time. There are also a lot of beautiful Malaysia girls working there. During that time, the FT Malaysian girls are so nice, sweet, polite and obedient type.

Block 80 something tio bo and above Seng Siong Supermarket? 10 stories (Zhap Lao) and 16 stories (Zhap Luck Lao) is a PAP stronghold because many senior citizen supporters. Not easy to educate the senior citizen mentality. Consolation is PAP MP Dr. Llly Neo's clinic is arond block 40 something around 1 corner. She is very popular with Tanglln Halt citizens. Sometimes, I wonder Tanjong Pagar walk over is because of Dr Lily Neo there. Yes, I have seen her before. Last time I saw her was about 3 years ago when I accompanied my mon to her clinic, and definitely, can tell Dr Lily Neo is a true beauty in her younger days. Most important, she shows no PAP air. Very humble and nice person. My mom has full of praise for Dr Lily Neo. She also confused that Dr Lily Neo is in charge of TP ward in Tanglin Halt. Too bad, she is not.
