Yeap. Korea improve a lot in last 10 year. After 1997 financial down. They come back become stronger competitor.
Car quality also improve a lot. Now not far behind. They can produce car at more economical way.

Korean car still have 2 issues:

1) Higher depreciation compared to other cars

2) Performance/quality still not to par with Japanese. Drive the iload people mover. Good design and alot of 'frills', however very underpowered and many still believe that its not a reliable car.

In the adverts etc, they are positioning against Toyota. If they really improved they would do even better against Japanese manufacturers./...
