I agree with you too, bro. When PB first viewed my statements, the banker told me that I definitely can get at least 80% loan. Later on, they could not get hold of my HR staff to verify my employment because my staff were away for the holiday seasons. You know what happened? PB slashed my loan amount to 70%!

True, I agree. As this will help to speed up one's application.
No point making it hard for the mortgage officer who is processing our application. Provide them with all the necessary documentations and most of the time, if proven to be viable, then our application will be approved.
Make their life difficult then one's margin or package may be reduced...ie from BLR-2.45% to BLR-2.4%, if not rejected. This is all part of the bank's due diligence.

Hi DreamOrAction,
Now your nick is DreamSureAction! Congrad! Now you can have Kelong sea food everyday..

Hello buddy, bought liao at last. Now waiting for 2 years seem like waiting forever ...

Yah the courtyard is next to the living room. In their showroom, they put up this aluminum louvre (quite a big piece) which is a good idea. But I think I will do without.

There is 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. Expect lots of cleaning to do so will need part time cleaner to help.

Had a review on my expenditure pattern and Gotta really spend thriftily and save more for the Reno (try to keep minimal structural Reno and more on interior).

Wa Lao, I sponsor party still have to provide your bikini? I think I can make one for u instead, i have 2 years to work on it hehehe. If not, I will lend you my mum's bikini, u won't mind right? hahahaha

how many Singaporeans can afford to only work 20 years and retire? Who takes care of their needs when the time comes? Themselves and their family, thats it. No one is saying a welfare state will be better but thats the way it is. I do have young Malaysians in their late 30s who work in Singapore and are talking about early retirement to me. People are still thinking of working until 65 and way past that in Singapore as they have to. It is their right (and plight) to slog until the day they die.

Malaysians can at the very least retire comfortably in Malaysia with key necessities like utilities, medical and many more still being more affordable. There are so many states for them other than Johore as their country is vast as compared to Singapore. .

U are right bro. In SG, there is the re-employment policy which encourages people to work beyond retirement. basically telling people to work till they die. I dont recall seeing a lot of old folks working in JB. I dont believe in this shit!

For myself, the JB house has given me the opportunity to consider early retirement...i.e. staying home to take care of my 2 youngest kids before they go P1 while my wife stays and work in SG with my eldest kid. I calculated based on a simple lifestyle with car and even a maid, i can actually survive on the interest from FD. In SG, this would have been impossible. In the interim, i will use the time to bond with the kids and inculcate the right values. also may explore being my own boss and setting up a small business like what u did bro. Again, this would have been impossible in SG cos the high rentals alone would have killed the venture at the planning stage.

Cheers.

The RHB guy offered -2.5 and willing to come to Singapore for my signature..
I took up HSBC at -2.45 thinking it is more international.. In retrospect, I think. Local bank is ok since they are more accessible.. So far, I am very please with HSBC online service. Maybe all the banks have the same services.

Bro, I want I want ... I PM u Liao

That's a good one, big boss!

I told the bank folk my big boss is in US and you can only call him after mid night. In Sngapore my office number and my boss handphone number is the same. They really called and I told them my boss number and mine in Singapore is the same..and my singapore boss and myself are the same person.. The bank officer confused but pretended to understand and approved the verification.

I also don't know. My parents are still sceptical and they are not receptive. I have proceeded nonetheless. A room is always reserved for them if they eventually change their mind. Otherwise, I might explore renting out room for holiday makers

Wow. 6 bedrooms. Wat u gg to do ?Each room for each mistress or girlfriend.

You must dream and act.... Dream to have 4 wives, give them a room each, make them work hard for you while you go Kelong fishing everyday..
I only dare to dream but sure no action..

Yeah, check it out and give me some feedback. And give me some idea what I can do to the house

Bro, there is nothing a 4 candle person can give to a 3 candle one who bought a place in JB. u definitely have the foresight to plan for your retirement and is already way ahead compared to many of your peers who are stilll in wonderland thinking everything will be a bed of roses 20-30 years down the road. do make sure the HQ in SG is also taken care of bro.

Kudos to you bro.

Anyone here into marine aquarium? Any good shop for marine fishes? I know there is one at Sutera mall but that's a small shop. I'm already planning to have a 4ft tank built into the divider between my dining and kitchen area ... So premature lol

Why can't we have min wage to let the poor who want to work to live a respectable life?
Why we have min wage for the ministers to make sure they are paid till don't corrupt? I don't see the logic from a democratic view point.. But sure there is logic from the republican view point...

Anyway I don't care about politics.. But I do feel sad for those uncles cleaning tables in golden shoe hawker ctrs.. This is a uniquely Singapore scene.. In china, old folks are given pension... You don't see them cleaning tables for a living..

I have no HQ like u guys leh. The plans that u guys have is fantastic and will work well. For me and ah tiong, we are the "chiong" gang, we chiong and show hand. No fall back plan Liao ... Do and die scenario

Of course we got the guts because u guys took the lead. So much to learn from u all. Besides, can help suggest what and how I can renovate the place to maximize it to its potential mah ..
