If so, TKL will being going around hougang to high five residents in support of his friend. TKL may bring along his fat insect friend to help.
Though I do find the move abit harsh and even extreme, the need to take such an action is strong.
WP seems hell bend to win over support from all Singaporeans and the tolerances of rogue candidates and in this case, MPs, are thin. WP could have just keep quiet but if there is a need to put the money where the mouth is, especially in areas of transparency or crediblity, WP in its own way, had shown how responsiblity can and should be taken.
So a by-election is in order. How would it turn out?
Has PAP any anmo to attack WP? would they risk some minister level candidate? or would some other parties, such as SDP or RP or even NSP would ant to start a 3 corner fight?
This would be the first time in Singapore's piolitical history such an incident has taken place. Surprisingly, this did not start from the ruling PAP and yet from the opposition WP. We are at the trashold of history.

Lets be frank. GMS is not dumb. Most respectable political parties and identities will show deference to WP. I am not even sure if PAP is prepared a field a A grade candidate. It will probably will be Desmond Choo, just to go thru motions. You will certainly get the odd Harbans Singh - Seow Khee Leng wannabes that will put themselves forward. Even KJ with inflated sense of self worth would not even contemplate.
They may just place the weakest guy Teo Ser Luck and put an end to his career forever.

Even if GMS lost his deposit, he will have my respect for putting his money where his mouth is. But based on history, he will likely give some crap excuses to chicken out.

Yes, and a politically astute move designed to have the PAP backpedalling. They are confident about re-taking Hougang and the vote count in this by-election is a portent of things to come in 2016.
