I think they could not solve it fast, and to prevent further victims from falling prey, they put up notice to warn others. Since cannot pin up too much hope for SPF, you can play a part too. Go and jog as usual, bring a camera along and take a picture of the guy who tried to embrace you if you see him. Should there be a real case, your pic might help.

Well.....why not, since SPF has run out of decent "baits" to do the job, it calls for the good Neighbourhood spirit to come in. At least you were his "菜". You could be a saviour to many other potential victims down the line if that fella remains at large. As long as you stay mindful and alert, just carry on with your usual routine. Furthermore, not every time you can bump onto him. But at least got the chance, can collect some useful evidence that might help the police in their work later.

When the danger's over, go to a police post nearby to make a report. This will get some police attention on that area. If this type of incidents happens often and reports stack up, i.e. no longer an isolated incident, police may then launch a stake-out operation for that pervert. But bear in mind, if it's just one report and nothing heard of thereafter, you can't expect police launch a stake-out operation just for one isolated incident, unless you end up raped or murdered.

I used to jog with my waist pouch. In it, my wallet, 2 handphones, keys and revolver (loaded). Used to jog after midnight if bo chiong. Can't take the sun, so better to meet the moon.

yes..the northern, western beaches are quite long and isolated. the Police has to be more vigilant.

I dont know whether the present way of putting posters along the beaches asking the public to report any suspected abnormal activities to the police is of any help.

Small as Singapore is, I don't think it's possible to be fully patrolled. In sec. sch. boy scout camping days, me and some other adventurous boys swam from Pulau Ubin jetty to Johor shore happily, and swam back happily, no problem. No need raft and no need passport.
