Is it wise to be a stock broker these days????

In any business, if your client bankrupt and run road, you must eat the loss. Stockbroker: same thing.
I know some friends who used to be stockbroker, they now work as taxi driver. Their clients bankrupt and run road. They got dragged down by the client. A lot of trouble. Stockbroker end up practically bankrupted by the clients.

yes my friend was a broker , had some problems, gave up and drives a taxi these days but i am not sure if it was a client run road situation.

The guy I know, he changed his name a few times!!!!!
For what reason I am not really sure, maybe to escape/run away from Ah Longs!!! But yah, initials are like, L._.C. That was several years ago. Now, maybe Obama L., or Raymond L., or Vince L., or L. Ah Beng, or L. Ah Seng. Anything to facilitate his evasion of his creditors!!!!!

haha looks like same guy then. In my case he was quite honest in his dealings with me.

Stockbroker is also being used too commonly these days like the term banker.
Dealers rep, trading rep would be more appropriate.
Those that need to makan losses are usually remisiers who works on commission.
