The road ahead for Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) will not be easy, with the way media consumption is changing, said its new chairman Dr Lee Boon Yang.

'It will be a long and arduous journey,' he said, after being re-elected to the board by shareholders at the annual general meeting. 'New technology has changed media consumption patterns and opened up competitive distribution channels.'

Just another small example of PAP's dark sense of humour?

Totally agree. They have been spoon-fed for so long that when the spoon is taken away they don't even know how to chew and swallow. A sorry bunch of loser prostitutes. Even the cheapest whore in Desker has more brains than these degenerates.

My favourite line. Boon Yang is afraid of competition. Who would have thought that these bunch of incompetent monopolists would be afraid of competition? :D

What a relief. I was so afraid that you wouldn't tell us how useless Sinkies are. :D

What so tough ? They had been living with complete Monopoly for so longgggg time. It now dull their senses towards competition. Brain dead people cannot think out of the box.

This guy got the golden egg nest................ nothing can go wrong with SPH
Just continue to bluff the public with tainted news

dont worry about that. The rascal is still sane and physically healthy. He will only stop his hate mail when he is sick or dying.

The best thing to do is to either ignore him or snipe him once in a while.

Is Dr. Lee saying new technology is not available to cash rich monopoly SPH? Too much cocooning has made the PAP soft in a world where they can't force people to do things their way.

Yes the fear is COMPETITION from the Internet and Blogs and other print media that gives us the story that is "THE WHOLE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE WHOLE HARD TRUTH.

PAP=SPH=MSM=No competition
What competition is he talking ? Just sit down, relax and collect your monthly salary and CPF statement and be happy like fark like the Zorro Lim.No need to blow-up a small anthill into a big mountain as if to let the world know how "tough" is the job.LOL.ROFL.MMTL.

I think competition is not really their TOP agenda. It's more about controlling information.

If there are a few competitions where all are running dogs and singing praise about the PAP and attacking oppositions, I doubt Dr Lee will complain much about this.

It is the lack of control on the new media where they can't dictate what can and what cannot be said. That's the real headache they are having now.

Someone asked him at the agm how he would balance his time between keppel and sph.
Instead of giving an answer, his answer was that if he did not feel he could not balance his time, he would not have taken the job. Typical damn pappy answer.

No worries, spoon taken away for show, someone will use tube:) still can feed until fat fat.

Son to his dad: "Can you fuck and do you know how to fuck?"
Dad to son: "I am your dad, am I not?"

(But unknown to the son, he may have been adopted, or dad may be impotent)

Thats why this crafty old bastard made use of the media to showcase his wayang crying skills last May...

The simple fact that Straits times still charges a subscription for ppl to login to read news is more than apparent that the upper management knows nothing about how the real world works, and the only thing keeping them going is the monopoly they enjoy, but it's advantage is dwindling everyday.
