Need feedback on Seiko submariner watch

Lots do that actually, they buy a fake watch, take out the insides. Swap it with the real watch. Now they have 2 "real" watches.
Bros, just take the watch to Tong Building and ask for a quote for servicing. Rolex does not service fake watches or any Rolex watches
found with too many after market or non Rolex parts. They will either refuse or remove the part even if its a bezel. They will return the
serviced watch to you sans the offending part.

I went to Tong Building twice in the 20 years I worn a Rolex. Quite good but a bit slow service. They always have a prelim verification first. Then they accept my watch for servicing.

Well put but you can't have a pretty dame with you every single time you go out. She will get pregnant and or busy running your business for you eventually. There are also places to be seen with a dame and places to be seen without. Plain is the best as I don't wear any jewellery at all. Even watch i prefer stainless steel.

Most people who see me will think i live in a wooden hut, the other day i wanted to get some stuff at a hardware store. In come this sales man with some awning choices, as i may have requirements for some of my houses and shop, i decided to ask him. I asked for his name card and he dismissed me while trying to push cards to the rest of the guys and customers in the store. The boss of the store who knows me said loudly to his wife, some people are so silly, when they have ready business, they can't even see it. I smiled, paid for my purchases and left.

I remembered a few years back when I bought my Oris watch at this well known watch shop in town... While a sales staff was serving me, an elderly Ah Pek in his 60s wearing a bermudas, slipper and a Crocodile polo shirt walked in the store... Nobody attended him.. Suddenly he pointed to the salesman this Gold Rolex watch.. The salesman looked surprised...he took out the watch and the man tried it on.. then i observed 2 staff quickly guarding at the entrance door of the store thinking that the Ah Pek would run away with the gold Rolex.. And after trying it on, the Ah Pek coolly took out couple of $10,000 Singapore dollar notes from his wallet and paid for the watch in cash... The Store manager gave him a big big smile after that...

The polishing is such that no sharp edges are felt unlike a fake. There are also lots of other ways to check. For the 11xxxx series of Daytona for example, they had chapter ring inside. Example is the 116520 SS Daytona. To see how old a datejust is, just see whether there is a "pinhole" and sports models, whether it starts with 6, 1 or 11.

The cert is definitely important when selling as is the box.
Other than technical and model details, it lets you know the source of the watch and the country it was manufactured plus the owners name.

Most watches out there even branded ones uses up to 18k gold for their watches.
Reason is anything purer and its too soft and easily abused.

Yes, 3 boxes of quad and 2 of 1. As with rolex, its the clockwise/counter clockwise variety although you can switch the sequence or the direction too.

There was one time a neighbour from Indian remarked how come i always have so many cameras, etc outside my house. Do i owe loan sharks, he will always ask.

His wife even always remarked where i am "running off" and always ignored the SFO or other tags on my luggage. Perharps i am too unassuming which actually suits me fine.

Kind of happened to me when i bought 2 Daytonas at the same shop. They were kind of trying to verify whether the notes were real while counting, i told them to take their time. Made a friend that day in the end.

wow...only service twice in 20 years ? thats too long . every 5 years i will send my collection for overhauled . a tips for watch lover here .

if your watch is off a few seconds per day (fast or slow) you can regulate it depending on the position you leave the watch at night when you're not wearing it, as follows:

by leaving the watch's dial (or face) up can cause it to gain (or run fast) upto a few seconds per day. on the other hand, by leaving the watch's dial (or face) down can cause it to lose (or run slow) upto a few seconds per day.

Yes, they will always look at you while servicing the watch. Rather than pay them 70 plus for a single watch verification, just ask for a service quote.
One time, they all stood up when i brought in some watches to be serviced at the same time. That was so funny. Kept them busy the whole day, once i handed everything over, went straight back to work. Then came back later after they called, collected most and then the rest had to come back another time. The people there must have thought i was a young but very well trusted Rolex employee (probably thought i was a courier man) as i was till in my early 20s then.

Actually every 2 years would be better especially if not kept in watch winder and left for long periods. The lubrication would flow down and some parts of the watch may dry up. Yes, the suggestion to do that is a good one. One thing though, try not to put your watch on its side especially one that isn't leather. You will weaken the links. One of the inspection criteria is they hold it up sideways and judge the condition by how "tired" the links of the band is. As in, how badly do they droop. Wearing a watch too loosely will also have that effect.
