Need feedback on Seiko submariner watch

Disregard copies. What would be the salient aspect or areas that you would be looking out for in a rolex watch and braclet? Teach a bit leh:)

Bro all original Rolex comes with a Rolex certificate of authenticity... Its best to buy a Rolex directly from their authorised dealers or from those established watch shops if you want to buy a brand new one..

Hope this link will help you a bit..

Nowadays Seiko divers watch no longer has the winding lock and no longer waterproof. Their Super 5 series very poor quality. You can check them out at Mustafa. They have 2 sections. One w guarantee and one without.

If you are there look at Sandoz submariner watch. Its part of Poor Man's Watch recommendation. Look like Rolex Submariner with Pepsi blue and red, except for that silly Sandoz logo.

Thinking of getting this model for daily usage: 2011 SEIKO SEAURCHIN SUBMARINER AUTOMATIC 23JEWEL, model: SNZF17K1

I had the old submariner with steel backcase, but thinking of getting this new one with glass backcase.

Does anyone here own one or can give an opinion on this watch? :)

Thanks in advance.

If you own a real Rolex before, you'd know it doesn't need a certificate.

Real knowleageable buyers and appraisers will open up the case and look inside. Certificate is immaterial. Untrained people don't know what's the difference inside even with the mechanical skill to open it up. That's why watch vendors, repairers and pawn appraisers wear that monocular. To read details engraved inside, date of manufatcuring, servicing all that are engraved minutely inside. Anybody could produce an imitation watch with a real piece of paper cerrticate. The watch is material, not the piece of paper.

Thanks bro. I read some feedback from some forums and they were good. But because of the price, I was bit doubtful about the feedbacks. Thanks for your opinion.

I was on the assumption that the winding lock design is the same as the vintage models with waterproofing:( And I like the older models with the steel backcase.

I still prefer black than pepsi.

Think I still search for another vintage and have it serviced at Thong Sia Bldg.:p

Thanks for your timely comments.

Back then I was a novice in luxury watches...:o So to play safe when I first bought my Rolex in 2005, I bought it at Hour Glass.. Then my interest grew in collecting these watches, not for showing off, but I really liked the designs of some of these Swiss watches... Used to have a Rolex, 2 Bell & Ross, an Oris, and a U Boat.. Then I sold the Rolex in 2009, and also sold one of the Bell & Ross and the Oris last year..:o

The most successful man is the one who walk in plainly dressed and nothing adorned, but walk out with a pretty dame in his arms. ;)

Silver, gold, watches, bracelets, necklaces etc. are jewelry for women. Women are jewelry for men. :D

Well put but you can't have a pretty dame with you every single time you go out. She will get pregnant and or busy running your business for you eventually. There are also places to be seen with a dame and places to be seen without. Plain is the best as I don't wear any jewellery at all. Even watch i prefer stainless steel.

Most people who see me will think i live in a wooden hut, the other day i wanted to get some stuff at a hardware store. In come this sales man with some awning choices, as i may have requirements for some of my houses and shop, i decided to ask him. I asked for his name card and he dismissed me while trying to push cards to the rest of the guys and customers in the store. The boss of the store who knows me said loudly to his wife, some people are so silly, when they have ready business, they can't even see it. I smiled, paid for my purchases and left.

You are right. But the cert and original case has their respective value and price in the market as well.

bro , you got alot to learn about time piece ;) cert is very important as the original box ....no cert you sell less then $200 no box sell less then $300

Thanks for the advice. Sometimes, I itchy backside and want to change body parts from the same series :o:p

no problem bro...hope it helps ..but beware of some secondhand watch dealer ..they might change the mechanism inside .

Lots do that actually, they buy a fake watch, take out the insides. Swap it with the real watch. Now they have 2 "real" watches.
Bros, just take the watch to Tong Building and ask for a quote for servicing. Rolex does not service fake watches or any Rolex watches
found with too many after market or non Rolex parts. They will either refuse or remove the part even if its a bezel. They will return the
serviced watch to you sans the offending part.

Always best to get from an AD, especially if you are in HK unless you know the guys personally else for SG, its Dickson or a favourite shop of my friend at Lucky Plaza where he is a regular. For pre-own watches, we only go to Chuan in SG.

That I certainly agree with. With original cert and box, certaintly worth more.
