As for pork, almost everything is palatable fresh as it since thanks to Chinese culinary. ;)

BTW, have you tried German style Pork Knuckles? I think ya could get it at Brauhaus.

roast 12 hours becomes well done already. where got nice like eat rubber like that

You need to know how to roast and at what temp, set your oven at 100 to 150 F, use tin foil to cover your beef even if it is frozen.

let said you put it in at 7 am and take it out at 6pm, it will be med rare by the time you took it out, for the last 30 min of baking you can remove tin foil.

It will be mouth watering, soft and tender.:):):)

No way for me too. Pork kidney, liver, intestines and trotters are must eat dishes everytime I visit Thailand. Very good with beer. Cheers!
 
I do that once a month, as for soft and tender turkey,

Cut the back bone, so turkey will be flat, rub your seasoning under the skin. ( marinated it for more than 24 hrs) day of roasting turkey, depening on weight and how long you need to bake.

cover with tin foil for the first 3 hrs, bast the turkey with the juice from turkey evry 1 hrs for last 1 to 1 1/2 hrs remove tin foil to roast till brown , you need to bast it every hr.

your turkey will be soft and juicy not dry and rubbery.

Breakfast:
Bacon and eggs with toast bread. Eggs sunny-side up.

Lunch
Bak Ku Teh with firmly cooked rice, separated gain, dark sauce and red chillys

Dinner
Zhi Char style - bowl of rice, vension hotplate, chilli kangkong, Ang Sio Tahu with mixed vege hotpot. Open air and eating on a cool lit night somewhere in Katong.

There are three dishes of almost the same thing:
1. German Pork Knuckle
2. Philippine Pork Knuckle
3. Chinese Roast Pork
The Chinese Roast Pork is the crispiest and melts in the mouth at the best restaurant (I like the one at Raffles Hotel). The German Knuckle is the toughest, both in Singapore and in Black Forest. Don't gave a good impression.
 
u are right about owen rd's teochew porridge but i think they have shifted already. There is one in katong, quite expensive but taste damn good especially the omelette mixed with small fishes(like ikan billis). hungry now...in this cold weather.

Beef steaks. Nothing can compare with Kobe beef. I was once taken to a restaurant in Tokyo by a business contact and had the opportunity to sample ordinary beef, US Prime and Kobe. The difference was very obvious even against US prime, both in taste and in tenderness.
 
I just love Pizzas taken with cold beer... I will eat any dishes with meat and seafood but No dog meat, or snakes for my meal...

I don't think they currently have any there.

I go for the one at Petain Rd - good and very cheap, unlike those in Geylang. If nice environment needed to sian ah nia, I go Toa Payoh Gdn.

Decades ago, it was Goldleaf along Orchard Rd.
