Actually most of the things he said still applies, the difference being he wasn't able to foretold PAP would screw up on the migration policy and shifted some moderate votes over to the Opposition camp

I do not think so. If TJS is to return to SDP, he would not be talking about forming a new party.

Not a wise choice methinks. Besides a newly formed party may end up with campaign logistic problems like RP.

I observe there is an abundance of opposition leaders, but not enough followers to go round. People in politics should really shake off the Messiah complex.

Singapore, September 7, 2011, latest breaking news at 0150 hours.

Pursuant to don't know what election act don't know what chapter or section, Alamaking is contemplating standing for the next general election not known yet. Consideration and negotiation are undergoing.

All political parties including PAP are scrambling to up defenses as Alamking is a reputable campaigner. We interviewed the top two political parties' leaders. Lee Hsien Loong of PAP said "we keep all options open." Low Thia Khiang of WP said "we're open to all options."

Agreed. Good examples of new parties like RP, Socialist Front, facing manpower, logistic & funds issues during elections. Returning to SDP or joining an existing opp party would be a much wiser move.

RP had logistics problems because people left, not because it is new. At one point RP was at the peak. Not many people with experience stay in opp politics even in older parties like WP or SDP, so they are also having new people all the time.

New parties have the novelty. If TJS forms a new party but does not mistreat his people like KJ, he can do what RP did at the peak.

actually i think it just shows u how difficult it is to run any orgn successfully over the long term...'personality politics/agendas' invariably get's in the way...

I am skeptical about simplifying campaign logistics down to solely manpower. Surely campaign organization, outreach and all the necessary behind-the-scenes planning work would benefit from the insights and experience of veteran campaigners, whoever they are. A newcomer might find it daunting. If not, those that left the RP might have simply started the "Reformed Reform Party" instead of joining established parties like NSP or SDP for GE2011.
