GMS in chinese newspaper again!

In Chinese, isn't sue supposed to be "gao"? (fourth sound)

Isn't "Qi Shu" supposed to be charge, as in charged by the prosecutors?

Dear JW5,

You are right. There is a distinct difference between 控告 and 起诉. But this is just some coffeeshop forum, don't worry about that.

Nothing wrong.

控告 = Charge (criminal case, prosecutor v. accused)
起诉 = Sue (civil case, plaintiff v. defendant)

However, in common Chinese language, due to long tradition of no distinction of judiciary role and separation power from executive and legislature, 控告 and 起诉 are usually used and understood interchangeably.

Thanks for your clarification.
For a moment there, we thought that you had become a prosecutor. :o :D

Don't think so sir. Think you could be mistaken this time. It's the other way around.
Then again, my knowledge is from watching Taiwan TV. :o :D

You watch and believe Taiwan TV series for legal fact? Very sad. Seek help.

If some forummers happen to be TenPenis residents and they decided to vote PAP as a result of reading your postings, you will rue the day you decided to post all your UFO/sueing/lawyer shit!

(Don't worry, I'm being nasty again. HAHAHAHAHAHAH!) :D:D:D:D:D:D

Not Taiwan TV series but the news programs and talkshows.
You are the one who should go and seek help to clarify your facts before shooting your mouth off.

Read again. Thanks. In any case, in Singapore, legal terms are in English only.

Yes, just because it comes from the television doesn't mean it is trash.

I've seen taiwanese variety programmes, documentaries that entertain while at the same time educate the public. It's not trashy kind of information. It can be very practical.

Of course my fav kind of TW progs are those variety shows like zhong yi da ge da featuring chicks, but even those give some snippets into the local culture through creative songs, etc. Very hilarious and lame at times, but not 100% trashy.

Ramseth is getting closed minded. Age must be creeping up :eek:

Now I understand why Low thia khiang doesn't want members of his party to engage in political talks in forum. You end up on the frontpage headliners. :(

You've said it, not 100% trashy, how many % up to your taste and judgment. Anyway, I wasn't talking about Taiwanese documentaries or varieties. I was talking about drama series. If you follow and believe such plot, I really think you need to seek help. Documentaries are alright. However for varieties, Taiwan TV has a penchant of matching incredibly ugly male hosts with incredibly pretty female co-hosts. Can't say I don't envy the Taiwanese men and pity the Taiwanese women.

Yes, perhaps.

Don't worry u are not alone. GMS is advanced in years; he can be your role model :D:D

He 40s looks like in 60s...jeeezzz...don't want such role model.

I so handsome like Andy Lau and Stephen Chow, even if I live into 70s, sure look like Patrick Tse. :D

You may want to change your mind if rumours are true about Patrick Tse. When his wife gave birth to that son, don't know what name, there was talk it could be somebody else's son coz PT was then rumoured to be impotent!

Nicholas Tse got all of Patrick's facial features except he likes to keep his hair long and messy while Patrick likes his hair neatly kempt whether short or long.

Hahhahahahahahaaa okay okay it's just three jaded creatures. At least no mention was made of Patrick Tse's dear son.

Many egotistical men imagine themselves as handsome, but to associate handsomeness with Steven Chow, people might think you are trying to be self-deprecating.

Aiyoh, you forgot S'pore's Idol of Idols, the one and only Yap Keng HOLE aka UncleYap.

GMS is advanced in years; Yap Keng Hole is advanced in both years as well as mental delusion. Oh wait, come to think of it, with all the UFO talk, GMS might be advanced in delusion as well :eek:
