HDB clarifies rule on siblings- PR/citizen alike

HDB's ruling is too dynamic that even their own officer sometime fails to be updated with their latest rules :D:D

Fucking lies.....lies.....lies..... Didn't LHL say that citizens come first???? Then how come we are having the same yardstick???? If the same yardstick, surely the PRs are having the better end. Liar, Liar, Pants On Fire.

That must be a retard to apply for citizenship at 24 years old. The NS cut-off age is 26 years and 6 months. Wait two and a half years more and he's officially out of NS enlistment age. No male PRs will convert to citizenship before that except in compulsorily forced to choose cases, e.g. PR son of PR father who went through Pr. Sch. and Sec. Sch. here. They'd be asked to serve or leave at age 18.

Yeap, this one applied at age 30.

If anybody asks for his identity card (IC) this year, Mr Manish Oswal will proudly whip out his spanking new pink IC.

Mr Oswal, 30, and 350 other new citizens received their certificates of citizenship and pink ICs just two weeks ago at a ceremony for new citizens held at the Supreme Court, the last one for 2010.

'I love everything about Singapore,' said Mr Oswal, who came here in 1999 to study electrical engineering at the National University of Singapore. He has stayed on. Six years ago, he secured permanent residency here and had since deliberated hard about taking the final step to becoming a Singaporean.

It was, after all, a 'big, difficult decision' since it meant giving up his Indian citizenship.

But last November, he decided to take the plunge and apply for citizenship here. "

He only took the plunge when he realised that it's easy to reinstate indian citizenship...
