The things said about Malaysia is much worse than Japan and Thailand. It would amount to accepting as truth if Malaysia does not protest.
Not surprising at all the leaks are half truth half lies.
It is right move to find fault with the leaks and reject parts which are not true, indeed PAP mastered the art in this. It would be equally wise for Malaysia to just accept Yeo's explanation and stop there... don't pursue anymore. Neither Malaysia nor Singapore would want to challenge the source of leaks as it would be detrimental to both... given that a large part of the leaks are likely to be truth
As for the Yankees... i strongly believe they would stop there as well... in fact they might learn from Georgie and start questioning the authenticity of the leak source :-p
Also not easy,as both BN and PK are both parties in great difficulty, both do not have much reserve left to tackle difficult issues.
BN already felt that the end was near, after MadHati & Sleepy ABB,ended up with a suspected murderer's associate.
Najib was a cerdible leader, who managed to reverse the alliance's fortune, and managed to win several by -elections,to convicne the non-Chinese that he is indeed different fr MadHati, whilst at the same time, uisng his blodd line not to distant the majority Malay race away fr him.
More importantly he saw the necessity of working closely with PM LHL's Singapore to eap economic benefit, what they have chosen is the Communist Party China's modus operandi:
"We are bad in the past, but pl let's us looking after yr welfare now, sack us if we screw up."
On the other hand veteran PK de-facto leader Anwar found out that leadership in a party w/o much welfare is damn difficult.
It is a good chance for us fence sitters to size up the two leaders of Malaysia.
Who can get away safely from between a mountain and deep blue sea and con more votes in the pending general election?
