A 15-YEAR-OLD was arrested on Monday for his comments on a YouTube tribute to Downtown East murder victim Darren Ng.

The suspect, believed to be Mr Ng's friend, had challenged others to a fight five days after Mr Ng, 19, was hacked to death in an apparent gang fight.

Posting his comments on the popular video-sharing website, he claimed that he was associated with a gang, and stated a location, date and time for others to meet him.

The comments have since been removed.

He is currently out on bail and under investigation by the police.

Anyone who makes or circulates any statement in written, electronic or other media forms which may cause public fear and someone to commit an offence against public peace may be jailed for up to three years or fined, or both.

this only applicable to locals.

Funny. Beating up people is not police problem. Section 323, Chapter 224, go find magistrate yourself. Challenging people is police problem. Moral of the story? Don't challenge, just whack!

Another idiot trying to win the Darwin award

this only applicable to locals.

I remember a certain idiotic former SG Indian American lawyer doing something similar in his blog and immediately got arrested :rolleyes::rolleyes:

WAHLANEH!!! Is this really true?

If it is, Sg gangsters really give gangsters a bad name! Underworld members come out on internet and make announcement for rumble?

If they're really professional "career criminals" the first thing each gang member should learn is low profile. Even speaking to another in a discrete corner of a cafe, they cover their mouths (because there are undercovers around who are trained lip-readers), they never discuss deals over the phone (because they are tapped), and they never get into open brawls because public outcry will null all the years they've spent cultivating cops on the payroll to keep mum.

Duh.

Cheers!

If not for the DTE and other slashing cases plus possession of offensive weapon cases recently, I doubt if police will probe and take action on case of online challenge. The 'landscape' and 'climate' prevailing dictates police action, if any.

So how's living in the police state called SInkieland.. nice? WAHAHHAHAH!!!

wahlaneh...
why u use my nick? wahlaneh...

Didn't mean to; blurted it out naturally.

Instructor days during NS happened more often when I see my trainees blur like fuck. "WAHLANEH, so futtup one! Wake up your fucking idea! WAHLANEH! Semula!"

Cheers!
