I think for the first time in a long time in Singapore's history, weather will actually play a deciding factor on polling day.

flood effect decision to vote for whom? or don't vote.

since we have compulsory voting, we probably only have a small 1% or less super lazy bums who won't leave house to vote because of heavy rain.
will voters liken heavy floods to bad drainage systems, blame all on PAP and vote against PAP at polling day. I don't know.

bro,

too many factors to weigh and can't really bank it on the weather squarely

I'll swim to the polling station if I have to.

Say you are a swing voter, you are about to tick on the lightning party box, flood water gush in and cover your leg, would you stick with the lightning party???

if it rains on polling day and heavily... get the OPP supporters out with umbrellas to assit voters to the station ... vote against PAP for neglect .

If there's flooding on polling day, Opposition sure get washed out. Only PAP, PA, CCC, RC, NTUC have the resources to have many buses ferrying their voters to polling stations.

Another interesting question is, what if flooding on Nomination Day resulting in candidates late for failing to arrive at Nomination Centre before cut-off time?

You got it wrong Ramseth. PAP supporters will stuck in the bus with floods around while opposition supporters keep swimming to polling stations!

As for nomination day, PAP candidates, all elites, will get stuck as well while opposition candidates die die will swim to nomination centre!

My ( our) decision had been made, wether it snow, hail, rain or shine...if we make our decisions basing on frivilous matters...better don't vote!:p

rain or no rain...my decision is made.

first important day is the nomination day...will rain keep the opposition away?:p

of course..but first...the opp party must first turn up on nomination day ! otherwise, walkover...rain or not oso no need to vote.

Weather is controlled by God and this God seems to be helping the Oppositions, highlighting PAP's flaw.
