Yandao Ah Sia Kia and Chiobu crashed Ferrari in JB, burnt into charred corpses!

Happened in November 2014. Time flies.

"Kwek family scion Kwek Kon Chun was killed in a high-speed car crash just outside Kuala Lumpur yesterday, reported The Straits Times.
The 35-year old nightlife entrepreneur and avid racer, nephew of billionaire Kwek Leng Beng, lost control of his Porsche 911 Turbo, just hours after winning the Dragtimes2u Supercar Drag Race with the same car in Sepang.
Both Mr. Kwek and his passenger, Mr. Franco Toh, 43, died on the spot after the vehicle crashed along the KL-Seremban Expressway at about 2:30am in Desa Petaling, according to Malaysian police."

i drove all over in italy in an alfa romeo for over a year also boh tai ji. only ticket i got was making a right turn at a red light in a small town. and majority of italians were good drivers, counter to fake news and impressions on social media. no italian would hog an overtaking lane on the autostrade nor go too fast on windy mountain roads, tunnels and bridges.
hanor, that's why they were so confident and produced the 'italian job'

why did the other Ferrari Drivers make the effort to rescue the couple, but simply stand aside to watch ?!!!
Who exactly was the organiser of this Ferrari Owners' Club ?
Was there any Risk Assessment made ?

When I did a Harley Bike Convoy up North, we had stand-by Mechanic, Tools and FIRE Extinguishers.

Internet Sleuths should dig deeper into the background of such, so that future Convoys can be safer.
I guess they didn't expect million dollar car to burst in flames.
These guys probably meet in high rnd dance clubs and organised it over a wild raving party.

Amazed same highway probably services local cars, trucks by the hundreds or thousands daily, overly excited sinkie Ferrari driver can drive himself until self cremate on, showing off to lady passenger.

Btw, what's is car plate number... Just asking.

A Malaysian who freqent drive that road said. That stretch is not flat road like Singapore. Got alot of up and down hill. Singaporean not familiar if drive fast, confirm the car fly and lose control. No wonder last year also got sport car crash same that area too...

When I changed lane in a rounded path at high speed, the centripetal force will sway my car outward, very scary experience.

Most likely skid on wet road. Ferraris have very wide tyres susceptible to aqua planing.
Or it could have skidded upon very high acceleration causing car to skid out of control

My swimming instructor during my schooling days told us people who get drowned in the sea tend to be good swimmers. Over confident.

To swim in open sea i suggest wear web gloves and small flippers.
Gloves in case get into contact with jelly fish.
And goggles.

Yes, but followed tour. My family won a lucky draw from a local travel agency.

I was not earning yet. So I didn't get to sit at the sidewalk of St. Mark's Square in Venice to sip coffee. When I started earning, I visited London many times and sipped coffee at sidewalk cafe opposite Victoria Station.

I hope to visit Cremona.

European coffee nice ?

Ferrari procession gathering in JB to speed….how many of these other Ferrari will also gather at the funeral wake?

More expensive than Singapore ?

relative more

A simple comparison today (2026 estimates):
PlaceTypical local/basic coffee priceTourist / premium café price
Singaporeabout S$1.20–S$2.00 for kopi at hawker centres/kopitiamsS$6–S$8.50 for café latte/cappuccino
Veniceabout €1.30–€1.80 (around S$2–S$2.80) for standing espresso at a bar€8–€15 (around S$12–S$22) if seated at tourist spots like Piazza San Marco
So interestingly:
  • A basic local coffee in Singapore is usually still cheaper than a basic espresso in Venice.
  • But Venice can become extremely expensive if you sit at famous tourist cafés with table service and live music surcharges.
  • Singapore café coffee (Starbucks / specialty cafés) is already approaching European tourist-city prices.
There is also a cultural difference:
  • In Singapore, many people drink kopi daily at hawker centres or kopitiams, so keeping prices relatively affordable matters socially.
  • In Venice, Italians often drink espresso quickly while standing at the counter. Sitting down in a famous square is treated more like a leisure/tourist experience, hence the large price jump.
Example:
  • Heartland Singapore kopi-o kosong: about S$1.30–S$1.70.
  • Venice standing espresso: about S$2–S$3 equivalent.
  • Venice seated café at San Marco: can equal the price of a full hawker meal in Singapore.
Some Singapore Reddit users also commented recently that kopi prices have quietly risen over the years, with many now paying S$1.50–S$2 at hawker centres.
