Some of my soccer khaki who are late 50s tell me they eat Hokkien mee 3 times a week and cockles all no issues. They drink beer 2 times a week no issues.

Should I start weight training or go gym to train?

Have you seen the avg (no access to cosmetic surgery) 30+ Caucasian women in western countries such as Australia? Their faces are like cracked porcelain and they're quite chubby. If they're Americans, they will be morbidly obese and wrinkled faces.

The reason why you find Caucasians more attractive coz of Hollywood. Plus, our local stock now age now ard late 30s to 40s, used to be very anorexic looking and their faces quite chui like ran over by a 3 ton when in their prime (18 to 25). I come across some PRCs like minority Manchu, looks damn hot even in their late 30s, face and fig everything have.

I am no fitness expert nor a doctor. But I would recommend moderate weight lifting and particularly free weights for both genders after 30. Free weights offer wider range of motion and better recruitment of all other major and minor muscle grps. Cardio is secondary once pass 30 imho. You can walk to the gym. I strongly suggest this as one would not waste time on cardio while in the gym. A 15, 30 min walk to the gym would suffice. You take public transport back once you finish your session. If you drive, park further away. You walk both ways to the gym.

And kindly don't waste time on your mobile tinkering or filming yourself excessively like the gen Z. If your session last beyond 90mins. You should look into WHY your gym session is so long. Cut back on those time consuming activities, such as phone, weight or reps. This is esp important if you're new to weight lifting.

It helps to slow down muscle atrophy associated aging. Another myth is that women perceive that weight lifting gives that excessive bulk. This is not true as they don't have the same amt of testosterone as men. Women produce testosterone in their adrenal glands and ovaries. The production is way lesser than men.
