Useless Singaporeans who keep going to JB

My anti pap friends told me go jb spend money is also a kind of civil disobedience
On the contrary, some those retired around me love the incumbent very much. Like a parasite, they collect handouts in Singapore, see doctors in Singapore while running away from family responsibilities in Singapore by hiding in JB. These good-for-nothings like to brag, talk big about their lives in Malaysia and dutifully return to Singapore during CNY to collect angpaos.

My retired neighbours have also passive income in Singapore, eg. renting out their HDB wholly illegally and spend time in Malaysia. Sometimes, they will ask me to help them keep letters that their tenants received. Some working in civil service, can spend at least 4 days in JB a week with their stable job and 2-days "WFH", collect their lazada malaysia purchases and bring them back to Singapore, along with groceries.

The SG Govt will soon force S'poreans to toe the line by introducing the "full stomach rule" to supplement the current 3/4 tank rule, so more of us will be discouraged from spending on food and petrol in JB.

Ie I love being fucked everyday. Sinkies are born losers

The Govt expects us to pay our dues. They are an effective money sucking machine.

Useless Singaporeans who love JB always come back to Singapore when they are sick, after getting all sorts of flu, cold and infections from Malaysia.

Then they will spread the illness to everyone, and return to Malaysia after recovery to post about their chee bye good life in JB. It is as if their family is in Malaysia, not Singapore. When their own family members are sick in Singapore, they rather go hide in JB, very busy.

You people as well die inside, don't come back, ok?

If you like JB so much, just stay in there,

don't come back and impose on others.

Retired still can collect angpaos?

I understand the frustration around Singaporeans retreating to JB, but everyone has their reasons. Balancing family responsibilities can be tough. Plus, some people enjoy the shopping and dining options there. I recently had a great experience with lazada malaysia customer service when ordering items online, which made my trips even more worthwhile.

For S'poreans whose income does not allow them to enjoy the standard of living they wish for in SG, buying a private home and car in JB is a viable option. However, as they remain citizens of SG, I understand when they need to return home for their chronic disease management every 4-6 months and to attend to other work or family-related matters. To each his own; we cannot live the lives of someone else.

Singaporeans who love to hide in JB and disturb their family members to help them buy 4Ds and Totos are so useless. People like you only think about yourselves and like everyone owes u.

These fucking max useless people are so smart that they wun own a car but keep bugging friends and relatives to join them in JB so they get a chauffeur in JB and help them pay for their high-fat, high-sugar, high-cholestrol dinning experiences on IG.

Employment levels among Singapore-based firms dropped annually in the second quarter of 2026 as business optimism slides in the face of geopolitical uncertainty.

Data from the Singapore Commercial Credit Bureau (SCCB) found that employment levels moderated from +7.20 percentage points in Q2 2025 to +3.70 percentage points in Q2 2026.

This is despite a slight increase quarter-on-quarter from +2.96 percentage points in the first quarter of the year, according to the report.

Key sectors in Singapore also showed varying employment levels in the second quarter, with the financial, manufacturing, and wholesale sectors recording a quarterly increase.

On the other hand, the services and transportation sectors observed a quarterly drop, while the construction sector remained unchanged at 0 percentage points in Q2 2026.

Slipping business confidence

The findings come as optimism in the second quarter of 2026 softened in the wake of global geopolitical uncertainties, according to the SCCB.

Singapore's Business Optimism Index (BOI) deteriorated further to +4.10 percentage points in Q2 2026, down from the +4.30 percentage points logged a year ago.

Annually, the BOI also dropped from +5.20 percentage points in Q2 2025 to +4.10 percentage points in Q2 2026.

"Business optimism has softened for the second straight quarter, reflecting the cautious stance that many companies are now adopting amid heightened global geopolitical uncertainties," Audrey Chia, SCCB's chief executive officer, said in a statement.

"While key indicators remain expansionary, the marginal improvements suggest that firms are proceeding carefully as they navigate persistent geopolitical tensions, supply chain disruptions, and a more volatile external environment."

Chia added that their findings indicate businesses are facing increasing margin pressures even as demand stabilises.

"With heightened global uncertainties, businesses are adopting a more cautious stancein their investment and expansion decisions which could tamper growth in the short-term," the CEO said.

The ongoing conflict in the Middle East has triggered fuel price surges that have prompted changes in the way employers work in Asia, with some governments encouraging remote work policies to conserve fuel.

Parents should not be self entitled and take care their own retirement. Kids need space to grow up and if you burden them in this environment where PAP loves FT more than its sheeple, they can't survive. Placing spending in JB is the best form of protest Sinkies can make against rising costs
