I would say that the beauty of life is death. It allows everyone to have a common focal point and to ponder over the meaning of life in the first place.
The beauty of life is that everyone dies.
It's the one thing that makes everyone equal.

I'm glad to know there're so many enlightened people here.God or no God, live happily, peacefully and non-violently. Don't have to spread the gospel truth or condemn the devil.God and Devil is but a fine line.In fact it's only divided by a moment of thought. So try to be good if you can but avoid doing evil if you can. We're all vulnerable and we are prone to evil and misdeeds. But try anyway. The best thing is to consider yourself the lowest of the lowest living things on earth. You got nothing to be proud of and nothing to worry about.Like me a total bankrupt - nothing to lose already.

I guess the irony is that so many people spend their lives trying to prevent death or prolong life. But don't realize that it's beyond their control.

we can always help them see the light...

After all, we live in a pluralistic society; imposing one's religious view on anyone is not helpful to anyone.

it's a mistake to use science to explain God.

do you think science is adequate? how could finite explain the infinite?

there are so many unproven theories in science.

that is why we have nobel prize...lol..

Agree with you.

My analogy:

Life is like a library where everyone is free to read their favourite books or pick up any books to read. Other may recommend me to read books to read and I am free to decide to read or not but I do not criticise their choice of books. Everyone is free to made comments about the books they have read but not to make their comments too personal or directed at the reader. However I would be pissful off if the person forcefully insists I read their choice of books. Best scenario: At the end of the day, everyone reads their own books and the library becomes a peaceful place to be in.

how can a library be a peaceful place ,when many ppl are confuse about fiction and non-fiction book ..some ppl cant even find their "book " . . as for me i dont go library ....cause its too far :p

Religion is the source of all imaginable follies and disturbances; it is the parent of fanaticism and civil discord; it is the enemy of mankind.Lighthouses are more helpful than churches and temples

jw5 is right, brother, to say that you are equal when you die, yes we all go back to dust

but what happen after you die there lies the differences

you mean you died before to know what happens there after? how did you die? how did you come back to life?

anywhere faith brings, you will be blinded

I hold a different point of view: that faith brings sight.

You can see faith at work here:

(1) faith in the surgeon: that he has the skills, that his team will not let anything go wrong

(2) faith in nature: that the rain will stop after some time

(3) faith in God: that if there is a God, then God must reach down to us rather us to God for how can an ant see the eagle in the air? But if that ant sees the eagle, will not that ant holds in its mind, that there are wonders beyond its daily life?

I am sure you can think of other circumstances in your life when faith plays a more important part than actual sight. I am sure because we are all human beings and no human being ever has a perfectly smooth road.

I hold a different point of view: that faith brings sight.

i have good faith that i will die one day, and i have good faith that i do not know what lies beyond death and i have good faith that i do not wish to say i know what lies beyond death or even using any popular beliefs to stake a claim on it. i also have good faith that i'm still ignorant and i have good faith that this ignorance at this juncture need not be ridiculed for most of us do not know what lies beyond death. for a simple reason, most of us haven't really figured what consciousness is.

i have good faith that popular beliefs need not necessarily be the way how things work, simply because history has shown that the past ignorance would often be replaced by the more logical and rational. i also have good faith that Homo sapiens would just be a small part of this living system and it doesn't really matter if this human civilization would perpetuate since we are all under the mercy of geological temperaments.

do we even need to justify the movements of plate tectonics and celestial bodies and/or even quantum physics? this certainly adds to the faith that we, as Homo sapiens, are still very ignorant about this universe we live in. do we need to attribute it to something supernatural for every unexplained? so who would like to attribute the sun's rising to the roosters' crows? who has faith in the Celestial Teapot who provided you a nice cuppa this morning? who has faith in the Invisible Pink Unicorn who provided you with food on your table for every meal?

In the final analysis, it is your faith and your life.

If your faith brings limited sight, then perhaps you may like to take another look. But if you feels that is enough, then you have made your choice.

eh, bro, I only commented on my belief and I did not stuff it down anyone's throat and if you say animals also have brains to discover this very same world and its beauty I also won't ask whether you were animal before or what to know that

3 cheers, bro
