[Straits Times] - Medical Doctor warns Singaporeans (like SBFuncle) from suka suka suing Doctors or they may regret it

@sbfuncle

Research study concludes that AI not only beat doctors at diagnosing complex medical conditions in patients by themselves, but importantly. AI even beat doctors who used AI in reaching their diagnosis, why? Because when these doctors disagreed with the AI's diagnosis, they chose to trust themselves over the AI's diagnosis, and in almost all cases it turned out the AI was right and the doctors were wrong.

https://www.businessinsider.com/microsoft-ai-diagnosed-accurate-doctors-medicine-study-2025-7#:~:text=45 PM PT-,Microsoft said its medical AI diagnosed cases four times as,about its place in medicine.

Will AI replace doctors?

Microsoft said in the blog post that AI "represents a complement to doctors and other health professionals."
Microsoft didn't dared to say that AI can complement the patient to beat loctors to puppies.
Or else the medical industry will be in a mess with more people beating loctors to puppies.

Good doctors point to their years of training and experience which help them make decisions based on intuition, sound reasoning and moral judgment. AI aims not to replace conscious human reasoning, but to enable clinicians to arrive at better decisions.

More and more docs acknowledge that computers give them access to a web-based repository of medical information and insights. They recognise that embracing AI in medicine does not mean relinquishing their responsibility as medical practitioners.

Note : the part about why AI even beat doctors who tried to use AI (ie. because they chose to trust themselves over the AI, perhaps out of ego) may not be fully covered in the articles above, but was included in a Straits Times article a month back, but I can't find it on the internet now. Anyone knows where please share the link in this thread, thanks.

I just take it as a reminder to sort things out with the doctor first. Most issues can be cleared up with a proper chat instead of jumping straight into legal stuff.

I've not seen a doctor for more than 20 years as I never believe in Western medications. I believe that the best medicine against common flu and cough is our own immune system. So make sure that our immune system is in at its peak.

..more importantly,

Would Anyone dare to reveal the Personalities behind the SMC ?

How many Doctors in SG have been censured, sanctioned, punished by the SMC ?

How prevalent, is the practice whereby when the Medical centre knows that Patient is covered in Insurance, Over-Night Stays in Hospital - even though not really necessary - was ordered in order to qualify for the respective Medical claim catagory ?

Are Doctors now, more Profit-Seeking than keeping to the original Hyppo'cratic Oaths ?

While it is impossible for a single private hospital to corner the market, undercut all competitors and then raise prices when patients are left with no alternatives, a publicly-listed company like Parkway Pantai which owns 4 premier private hospitals has sufficient market share to enjoy an oligopoly. In the presence of imperfect competition, medical care must not be dependent on market forces. The sick are at the mercy of their doctors as they may not be in the correct frame of mind nor possess the required time and knowledge to compare prices. Section 34 of the Competition Act should not apply to healthcare.

The so-called "A.I." telling you nonsense (like you have a disease when actually you don't) you also wouldn't know.

You know those cases of people taking their lives after chatting with some AI chatbot?

You may not even be talking to a chatbot but to some malicious individual pretending to be a chatbot and telling you to self-harm.

Grow some awareness today, friends.
