On April 9, 2025, a woman named Datin Seri Pamela Ling Yueh was reported missing while on her way to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters in Penang.

While en route, the Grab driver who was ferrying Pamela claimed his car was blocked by three other vehicles before three individuals came out of the car and told him that Pamela needed to be detained to assist in an investigation. After some talking, Pamela agreed to go with them. and went missing.
 
Pamela and her husband are being investigated by MACC over a money laundering case. Pamela and her husband are in the midst of a highly acrimonious divorce in both Singapore and Malaysia involving a substantial estate.

The Grab Driver who was ferrying Pamela on the day of her disappearance said Pamela had been taken by several individuals posing as police officers.
  • The driver, known only as Kok, recalled that on the day, he and Pamela didn't speak much in the car, but she did make one phone call in which Kok said he couldn't clearly hear the conversation.
  • When they were nearing the MACC building, three cars suddenly appeared and boxed them in from the front, back and side.
  • Kok recalled two men and a woman came out from two of the vehicles. The woman and one man were wearing a uniform resembling the police attire, while the other man wore a vest labelled ‘Police’.
  • Kok said he was told that Pamela was being detained to assist in an investigation based on a police report. Initially, Pamela refused to exit the vehicle, which led the uniformed woman to try pulling her out by force. Pamela eventually complied and handed out RM100 for the fare to Kok.
  • Kok stated he was then ordered to press the ‘complete trip’ button in the GRAB app before the group took his identity card, driver's licence and phone number and fled the scene. Kok lodged a police report immediately.
 
a story filled with holes. Is Kok an accomplice? How did the "police' know Pam was in Kok's car not unless someone tipped them off? Question is who? Kok? Who were these officers? paid actors to make Pam disappear? Who paid them? Husband paid them to finish Pam off and leave no trace so there is no more need for divorce and he gets everything? could Pam have staged her own disappearance? Why would she when she knows she would lose her part of the settlement? was she threatened or forced into doing so? All datoks and datins are not as clean as their titles suggest them to be. In fact most of them have ill gotten wealth. dig deeper

Poor woman probably encased in a drum and cement poured over her when she was still alive. And dumped in the sea.
Whatever loot husband fighting over must be belong to somebody else. They were just nominees.
Normally there should be motorbikes acting as lookouts and escorts. Looks like none in this case.
Grab has the responsibility of transporting their passenger safely from one destination to another. In this case, they failed.

If you are titled as Datin Seri Pamela Ling Yueh….and take Grab to go meeting something is very wrong liao.

Chauffeured driven cars are not expensive in Malaysia.
