Whether or not Jack Neo has been intended as a candidate, he's a man of political and social weightage. Over past two decades, many Singaporeans look to him as role model, especially NSmen.

Last evening's Wanbao and Shin Min each devoted 5 pages to him (including front page of course). I doubt that even if LKY stopped breathing could earn that much coverage (excluding paid obituaries of course).

Now you're straying into double standards, let me remind you. You started this thread insinuating political connection between Jack Neo and George Yeo. Now you say, leave them alone. Adultery is not a criminal offence, but a civil offence, i.e. the police won't prosecute adultery but the spouse could sue (but that'd of course entail divorce).

Jack Neo is a known PAP member for many years. But he is more of in the entertainment and business and not into politics. So no matter what happen, jack wont stand for GE no matter what.

If jack did stand and with the present scandal, PAP would lose 40-60 ( +/- 3%)

Dont think PAP would want a political liabliity at this point.

Well, unfortunately for both of them, they are public figures. If they are not, nobody really bothers anyway. Or if Jack, as George's friend, is not a public figure, who cares?

Now that it has become a political issue, Minister Yeo need to come out to explain on what is the connection and why there seems to be overpowering PAP support for Jack Neo.

If he doesn't, then people will speculate and the rumour mill will go into overdrive.
