What were doctors saying about Thalidomide?
Thalidomide scandal
Baby born to a mother who had taken thalidomide while pregnant
In the late 1950s and early 1960s, the use of thalidomide in 46 countries by women who were pregnant or who subsequently became pregnant, resulted in the "biggest man‐made medical disaster ever," resulting in more than 10,000 children born with a range of severe deformities, such as phocomelia, as well as thousands of miscarriages.[1][2]
Thalidomide was introduced in 1956 and was aggressively marketed by the German pharmaceutical company Chemie Grünenthal under the trade name Contergan as a medication for anxiety, trouble sleeping, "tension", and morning sickness.[3][4] It was introduced as a sedative and medication for morning sickness without having been tested on pregnant women.[5] While initially deemed to be safe in pregnancy, concerns regarding birth defects were noted in 1961, and the medication was removed from the market in Europe that year.[3][6]
lots of doctors still smoke. I do maybe 5-6 cohibas or montecristos a month .
We are doctors . Not some fucking priest .
Germans should stick to making cars
Just making the point that a video of a bunch of doctors blabbering about the safety of vaccines or any drug does absolutely nothing to convince the doubters.
You're a doctor you know perfectly well how it works. A drug company will organise a "seminar" at some fancy resort touting their latest snake oil. The slick presentation and Q & A will last a couple of hours and after that it's off the golf course and a weekend's worth of extravagant consumption.
The following week a copious quantity of "samples" will be dropped off at the clinics by the reps and that's it. The drug's on the market and the money is rolling in.
The real risks won't be obvious till a couple of years later.
Smoking it is a personal choice. Endorsing the act is an entirely different issue altogether.
so I take it that you go to faith healers and village shamans for your herpes ?
