I am talking about scientific consensus of respected experts in the field. Not your low-level quack "experts" you always tout as giving fake ground-breaking "advice".
The "respected experts around the world" are the ones that are dishing out misinformation and downright lies because they are beholden to those who pay their salaries.
To find out the truth about Covid you have to seek out those that governments and tech companies are trying to silence.

The respected experts are the ones with the successful track records to show their knowledge and commitment to their field of expertise. Not everyone who has dedicated their lives to saving others is beholden to money. No one will risk their reputation, credibility and legacy of a lifetime's work just for money. To seek the real truth about COVID, you go with them, not follow someone with dubious backgrounds trying to sound smart.
Just like if you want your teeth fixed, you go to a qualified dentist with the qualifications and track record to show they know something about teeth and not someone who is a quack who works on crazy theories.
With Covid nobody is an "expert" because the disease was so new that all the experts could do was make predictions with very little data to work with.
It came down to relying on computer modeling and we all know that the predicted outcome is only as good as the data that is fed in.
Forecasts have swung wildly and most have been way off the mark. We also have to contend with the "glass half full" vs "glass half empty" factor. "99% of those infected will be fine" can be interpreted any way you want depending upon what sort of message you want to send to the world.
When the dust settles everyone will have no choice but to accept the fact that the reaction to Covid was way over the top. The excess mortality figures will tell the true story.
Because of the fear of the individual. The more fearful you are, the lower your vibration. The lower your vibration, the more the dark can manipulate you.
Raise your vibration (love, and happiness) and remove fear, nothing can affect you.

The problem is that nobody really knows what "test positive" actually means anymore. With the adoption of a test which was never intended to be diagnostic tool in the first place "testing positive" is meaningless because it says nothing about whether a person is actually sick.
If we subjected everyone to a Herpes test 85% or more in most populations would "test positive" but only a very small fraction would ever have suffered a Herpes outbreak.
So if COVID is a new disease, I would trust epidemiologists and people who have dealt with similar diseases more than I would two-bit quacks. Without their hard work and expertise, getting real hard work done, more would not have been aware of it, how it was spread, what we need to do to prevent it from making us sick. Progress has now come in the form of tests, cures and vaccines all through the work of these experts.

Will vulnerable people die from Covid? Of course they will but so too will they die from diabetes, pollution, heart attacks and many hazards that we are confronted with on a daily basis. Rather than disrupt whole populations from shutting down businesses why not just ban smoking it would save many more lives compared to a lockdown. This whole covid response has been shambles from the get go.

So your idea of providing "sound advice" is to spread misinformation and promoting insane theories based on dubious data? Sure people die from all kinds of diseases and manners. It's a fact. Nobody says there is a perfect solution for every problem. They make recommendations and offer solutions. You make your choices.
Smoking is a personal choice. This much the experts can tell you - you smoke and your chances of dying from smoke-related diseases increases. It's up to you to smoke. Just like wearing masks. In many other countries it is a personal choice. This much the experts can tell you - wearing a masks reduces the risk of getting and giving COVID. Its up to you to wear one.
Second hand smoke is not a personal choice. The estimate is 1.2 million dying annually because of this. If that does not warrant a total ban I don't know what does.
At the end of the day all the decisions are political not scientific. Governments have sensed that the "saving lives" mantra is political capital for the time being as the economic pain caused by lockdowns is confined to specific groups and industries. On the other hand smoker and tobacco companies plus the taxes that governments earn make banning tobacco a costly affair for governments in more ways than one.
