Most mosques chose to downplay islamic imperialism, chosing only to focus on moslem arab architecture as evidence of a peaceful happy empire forged out of slaughtering and conquering. They also chose to write about non-moslems resisting islamic invasions into their homeland as 'attacking islam'.
The balinese are still eating pork solely because they defeated waves of moslem invasion. If the moslem invasions were successful, the balinese would have been slaughtered, sold into slavery and forced to convert to islam. That's how india today has about 30% moslem, including those in pakistan and bangladesh. They were also moslem thanks to the legacy of 1000 years of islamic imperialism.

First and foremost, the most important aspect of religions is, do you believe you are a part of the creations or are you a part of the Creator itself ? Hence we gotta clarify first before we argue about GOD. What is GOD to you ? To most GOD is the Creator and we are the creations ya ? But to many GOD is NATURE and everything is part of GOD or GOD is everything including the self..... Hah ! that's the difference.
Primitive minds never dare to cross that line out of fear and actually it's ignorance. Advance minds through knowledge, wisdom and Quantum physics we know that GOD is that unpotentiated potential or simply put INFINITY.
Hence there's a saying if you understand INFINITY or Infinite Intelligent energy or Consciousness you've understood what is GOD the I AM. Or I Am All that I Am.

So the quran is an incomplete book. Need the hadith to elaborate on quran. Even the islamists admit that they need to learn about their religion from both books, not one book.
In theory the quran is suppose to be the onky book.
But even then, we must question it's authenticity.

Only book or not, changed or not, the fact remains that moslems need two books to learn about their religion. So the claim about 'perfected religion' is already debunked by moslems themselves. They need a 2nd book because their 'perfected, unchanged' book isn't good enough.
The quran was not written by mohammad. It's supposedly a compilation of his sayings and deeds. There's mention about a segment of the quran missing because it was eaten by a goat. So, even by moslem accounts, the quran is not complete.
The hadith divert the people into religion. If you look at Quran alone, it's on the basis of believing in God alone. You .can believe in God without need ing a religion.
Clearly, the forum's islamists disagree with this verse.

I wasn't aware that islamists actually prayed to God. I do know they go through the motions of a ritual without the part of God actually speaking back to them. As you said, moslems and especially islamists, worship a religion, not God.
