There are more and more old Audi private hire cars on the road. The type of car actually depends more on rental company, i.e. the type of old cars they buy. For drivers if more customers prefer Audi to Altis or Vios and the rental is about the same, most will be willing to pay for the higher petrol consumption in exchange for comfort and better ridership. So I think the reason for using an Audi is not restricted to being howlian.

Btw an Altis that has only 1 year left is likely to cost more in terms of depreciation than an Audi of similar age in the 2nd hand car mart.

it is not because drivers refused to buy the booster seats, they r not allowed under the law to do this. this is always the general misunderstanding amidst a whole loads of restriction designed to impede PHV survival. not all grab rides can do kids only assigned rides can do it. it is a wanton problem created by lta for the silliest of all reasons, lack of innovation or sanity, a problem that can be solved by money (insurance premium). Grab has a problem with their value system. I drove Uber when I was jobless. I had two friends who drove grab.

It is not uncommon to get complains from unreasonable or shitskin customers, then the Grab Investigation Officers think they are like Police IOs, chao chee bye bastards.

In the end, i lent my friend money to tide him through.
(Grab's lease vehicle cannot be used for Uber, unless u pay for another insurance).

My second friend drove Grab for almost 2 years before he switched to Uber. He analyzed that experienced Grab drivers had a general consensus in their groupchat, that Grab pays them a more attractive fare in their earlier days and a lower fare as they drive more. Grab milks senior drivers for better margins as Grab has no lack of new drivers and they prefer new drivers because they are fresh and more motivated OR new drivers who left Uber and taxi companies (which hurt their competitors).

u should quit because this is a manipulated biz like retail biz, you cannot win. the system is designed to work against drivers.
