Just want to start a thread to discuss this. I posted in the other thread about my experience. I am refused entry 30 days and labelled a "prohibited immigrant". Customs lady told me singaporeans must stay singapore. I don't even have clothes now or my belongings. Have stayed in JB for many years with no issue until recently.

They issued me an official letter at the customs.

Did they clarify what is "prohibited immigrant"? If it is prohibited, why is it that you are only barred for 30 days? Quite puzzling, really.

There is a letter stating prohibited immigrant but the encik was the one who said 30 days. The malaysian high comm in singapore told me 1 to 2 months. I read up on what does prohibited immigrant mean and i believe it is a general provision that justifies refusal of entry to a wide range of people.

The encik also agreed malaysia has no explicit law on the total number of days a foreigner can reside in malaysia but says he has the discretion.

In short, they are saying singaporeans cannot stay in JB.

Najib was friendly to sinkapore ....immigration officer must do likewise.
Now, Tun is in charge. Immigration officer must take the cue.

Sell your JB property quick since you won't have access if barred from entering Mudland.

When is the next Malaysia Property Fair? I have some questions for the real estate veterans.

I did point out to encik that unlike singapore, malaysia does not have a clearly defined number of days a foreigner on social pass can reside in jb.

Encik said he has absolute discretion and handed me the letter.

This is clearly an abuse of authority. But this is their country and they can do as what they like. I believe that even the Malaysian embassy in Singapore is not going to chip in to help. They can just simply tell you to go and apply for MM2H.

I was a bit surprised that the chinese customs lady told me that singaporeans must be in singapore, malaysia is for malaysians.
Can't really fault her. S'porean has also been saying S'pore is for S'porean , albeit it may not come from the mouth of S'porean officers.

Now you know why SIngaporean are so screwed. They are being screwed by their own PAP run government with all the increased. Now after moving to Mudland, they are being screwed by the lowly Immigration officer.

What kind of life Singaporean is having ?????

I think having Macs is a positive in avoiding the immigration officers from exercising discretionary authority. This reduces work for officers and increases fees income for Malaysia.
