How many black dots do you see in this picture?

Your experience in this world is defined entirely by your perception. Keeping this in mind, everyone has barriers to their own perception. Some barriers are deeper than others.
One person may not be able to perceive certain colors. Another person may not be able to see at all. Another person's brain may be wired to see things that no one else sees and hear things that no one else hears (could be illusions or something else). Another person's brain may have it so that senses overlap, i.e., the ability to see sounds and hear colors, etc (synesthesia). All of these people live in the same world with the same instances of the same things, but none of them have the same reality. None of them have the same perception.
There is no one true reality. The only reality you will ever have is the one that you can perceive, which will not be a universal experience.
